We have been drinking this past two weeks, enjoying the company of friends and loves one. May 20, we have finally finalised on our renovation and prepare to move to our next phrase of life. It's something I have always look forward to. Life is all about goals and achieving. It doesn't matter if you attain but rather in the processes that mould us and set our differences. We have to understand that every human being have it's different needs and wants. As I said, "Love is not about effort but a choice I made." And I have made the choice. Love you.

Manila day 33-36 (Taiwan day 1-4). This post is about this beautiful country. I'm so glad I made this trip to uncover a little bit of this country first before coming back again with you. I know we will definitely come back. You'll fall in love with this place. I arrived in Friday early morning and found my way to my capsule hotel. It's my first hostel experience and my first capsule experience. The capsule was sooo cool. I had everything I needed in that little space and it was like outer space inside. Once I shut the doors, it's 100% privacy. Love it. Checked out on Friday morning and roamed around dan shui. What will I do without you. Initially I considered dan shui too but was still undecided. Once you told me I should go, I immediately set off. I love you! Thank god I heeded your advice. The weather was so clear and it was a perfect match with the tamsui river setting. I small skip the part of me having very bad cramps and hiding in the toilet for a good 30 min before attempting to travel again. So glad I overcame it. So I danshui I strolled the lao jie, went to the danshui customs wharf, briefly saw the san domingo fort and hobe fort before walking all the way to fisherman's wharf to catch the sunset. Ah so dropdead gorgeous. The skies were so clear. If only you were there with me.. Headed to shida night market to roam around before meeting Lisa after her tennis game. Happy to finally meet her! We started off day 2 feeling a little uneasy because it seemed to be a gloomy day with intermittent showers. Headed to taipei chezhan in search of good breakfast and a money changer. Took us 2 hours to find a bank that finally accepts sgd! Next challenge was to find the bus 1815 that will take us to yehliu national park. The taipei chezhan is humongous! And buses change pickup points as and when depending on construction and stuff. We had to go separate ways to locate the bus and we did! There we go, on our way to yehliu. The bus ride took around 90 min. It was a very interesting park! I think you'll like it. Short and sweet. After that we took another 2 buses and found our way to jiufen. It was so crowded. And the setting of jiufen was so much like Ella! Quaint, mountainous, homestays along the way and severely underdressed. A pity we went there too late when the sky was already turning dark. It should be been a great view in the day. Spent around 2 hours at jiufen and left for keelung miaokou night market. Happy and happening street. These night markets really make people excited. We wanted to head to the ktv after the night market but was disappointed at how expensive it'll eventually be, so we skipped it. Btw things here are pretty expensive. Maybe because my exchange rate is lousy. The ktv is 700 ($35) for an hour, before compulsory spending on food and drinks and also taxes. We took an intercity train back to taipei chezhan from keelung and a mrt back to our hotel in the end. Already ran out of stamina for the day 🤣 Lisa went to church in the morning of day 3. I headed to dong men to take a walk, in search of a hair salon. Dong men was so so and since she was not done, I headed to ximen instead. So glad I did! Initially thought ximen would be very quiet but wow! Far from it. I found a pretty reputable salon at ximen and chopped off my hair! Sorryyyyy I really tried but the tangles are truly taking a toll on me.. then we strolled around ximending, eat and eat, shop and shop. I think the highlight was the bittergourd juice. It's a very quiet taste and I really liked it. Lisa was shocked to realize that it's $85 NT ($4.50) for a cup haha. We wanted to go for a foot massage but it was like $800 NT ($40) for an hour. Is it me or are things really quite expensive here? Haha. Anyway decided to skip it since we didn't have much time anyway. Did some snacks shopping at carrefour before heading back to the hotel to pick up our bags. Had a simple dinner at the airport before she heads back to hanoi and I head back to manila. Though short (very short), it's a fantastic getaway. At least it got me very excited to being here with you in the near future!

Note to us

1. If room a not so ideal room is pre-booked and unpaid, check for room availability again prior to check in. 2. Stay in hostel if there is a change of destination the next day due to availability of shower facilities. 3. Check for flight delays prior to checking out/ traveling to airport. 4. Use trivago before hotel booking. Call hotel to enquire about check in timing before booking. 5. Always bring a shawl and a jacket.

19-25 November 2016. The stay in Thailand was toooo wonderful. Best massage ever in Krabi. Fun looking for the 'attraction' of every place. Perfect stay at Arcadia. So much goodness in food everywhere. So much progress in the local lifestyle scene. Beautiful decor in almost every single shop at thong lor. Incredible mixes at Route 66 though with a dead crowd. And we got our teeth cleansed! Our loots pales in comparison with others but I've had such a great time with my turtle. Turtle already began planning for the next trip here.
