i really like how theater/acting is a source of comfort and a sort of salvation for both kanechika and shima even though their circumstances are totally different. like kanechika was left alone by his peers as a kid bc they couldn't understand his passion and commitment to theater/cinema meanwhile shima was surrounded by people all his life but he alwas felt alienated, yet they both meet and come to understand each other through theater and idk. it's just really wonderful to me how passions, hobbies and a shared love for things can bring people together in that way
