My makeshift ironing board -living with cerebral palsy has it's challenges, I have hand tremors and instability in my legs I'm often afraid to iron because I think I'll burn my clothes when I fall over or have a tremor. But today I had to finish an assignment and I needed to iron, I've seen people iron on towels before so why not give it a go, be more stable when sitting on the ground so I won't feel like I'll burn something... The Reading Week Project!!!

As many of you know I am in my 4th and Final year of my Undergrad and this is may well be my very last Reading Week/Spring Break of my life time . So you're probably thinking you are going to do something crazy right - a huge vacation, the last hurrah...

Sadly, I am doing none of those things. I will be at home studying, going to the dentist, getting my hair done, and other house keeping stuff like that. For all you 1st or 2nd year students out there a warning 4th year is CRAZYYY, no matter what your program but for business it feels INSANE! 

I started back at Brock this term after a nice relaxing and exciting experience in Italy and all I can say is it has been a rude awakening! School in Italy as I've said many times before is a JOKE, it was a million times easier (not an exaggeration) than school at Brock.

I am taking 6 courses at the moment and I barely have time to sleep, eat, keep up with my school work, hang out with friends, work or even work out - let's just say I barely know which end is up half the time and Coffee/Energy Drinks are my best friend. However, in an effort to develop a more balanced I have come up with "THE READING WEEK PROJECT!" 

YES PINTEREST!!!! The best procrastination, and informative site of the social media universe (In my mind at least)! 

While in Italy I broke down and got PINTEREST and I became OBSESSED! It has now become my favourite 5 minute break in between study session or when I start to feel like I am going to LOSE IT!!!! - It is my LIFE SAVER!!! 

THE READING WEEK PROJECT - Prove or Disprove PINTEREST Pins! 

It is now a week before Reading Week for me and I want to choose at least 10 things (minimum or 15 maximum) from what I have Pinned or will Pin this coming week to prove or disprove. But I need help to streamline my Pins for this list. 

That is where you come in - Visit my Pinterest and comment which Pins you want me to Prove/Disprove. Keep in mind they need to be Pins that can be proved within a week (not to demanding of my time) and if you know me you know my Pins are primarily, beauty, hair, fashion, fitness and health! 

After the week is out I will be posting a blog of all the Pins I tried to Prove/Disprove during my week and my results. I will also be creating my own Pins to post to Pinterest of whether or not they work. 

Let's open it up - Do you want to join in on the fun? Help me prove or disprove? Send me a message about which Pins you want to do or want me to do - and I'll post the list here by Friday at Noon --> So we have time to get supplies before we begin Saturday. We'll even keep up a running commentary of our progress throughout the week.

Rant of the Day!

Here in Italy I am taking a course titled "Economic Sociology". This course was broken into two sections Module 1 : 5 days with an Italian professor who could barely speak English, even though teaching a class in English and her understanding of the language when you spoke it to her was the same. I am all for learning subjects in another language if you are comfortable with it - but with that you need teachers/professors equally or more comfortable with that language to teach it adequately. That's Italy! NOW Module 2: 7 days with a much more strict professor with MUCH better English, you could even say he speaks fluently. He even uses a microphone (when asked) to ensure everyone can hear him. However, I do have one gripe with him which prompted this post - his POWERPOINT presentation. 1) The lighting in the room has not been adjusted so even sitting in the front row it is 

unreadable 2) There is so much text on each slide, if you are lucky enough to read a line you can never figure out where you are This PowerPoint goes against all the rules of PowerPoint 101 (Creation) that I've been taught, it is Soooooooo frustrating. He says he will post them on our student course information site Klips, but in the same breath tells us to take notes on the examples he gives us - and in my head I'm thinking, and trying not to scream out - WHAT DO THE EXAMPLES COINCIDE TO???? For both an audio and visual learner this is not working for me :( But for an avid experimenter and new experience seeker these experiences are great. It gives me great insight to another part of the 

world that most only see in movies, it gives me something to write about on my blog, and much more! THIS IS ITALY!!! I had published this post just before our class went on break - we came back from break and he asks the class how to put the PowerPoint into presentati

on mode so that maybe we could see it better. All I have to say is HONESTLY?? - in the time it took me to write this a student went up and helped him turn on presentation mode by the way - shake my head

And how hard is it to move the textbox down when there isn't a lot of text on the slide? It would be tooo easy to make it easier for us to read.
