Overcompensating was surprising really good. I mostly (only) watched for Rish Shah, but it wasn't just some raunchy young adult dramedy. There was a lot of depth and exploration of being a young adult and navigating platonic and romantic relationships (gay and not gay), and just trying to figure out how it all fits into your life as a new adult. It also kinda led to the conclusion that no matter your age, you don't have to have anything figured out. Even the parents in their 50s admitted that they were figuring out who they are. People change constantly. The sooner you realize that, the happier you'll be. Also, so many random guest stars. Megan Fox, Kaia Gerber and Charlie XCX randomly appearing...

And 10/10 to the creators for not making Rish hide his Ms Marvel tattoo when it was so clearly visible. That is on Kamala Khan supremacy.

I know none of you people had friends in college because there are like 0 Hailee Marie Matthews posts in the overcompensating tag despite her character being the most realistic part of the show (every college class has one woman EXACTLY like her who knows how to party and is also intelligent and fiercely loyal)

Watching overcompensating and OMG I LOVE IT. Like this is the perfect example of cringe comedy and lowkey what my freshman year looked like. Having that big group of friends that slowly peeters off into only the people who truly get you. How much you're constantly changing and you don't know who you are exactly but you have a good sense of who you dont want to be

Like the cafeteria scene was sooooo funny bc at first you are soooo embarrassed to look like you didn't have friends. But also them having trash food in a random parking lot singing super bass is that quintessential midnight hangout. Trying new things and finding out you hate it and vice versa.

It's everything i want from a college show. I really hate when college shows have the characters be put together and then fall apart when you're really not that put together in the first place
