Luigi Loquarto – aka gig – is an Italian artist. His drawings are scratches, blunt lines scratched with determination and softness, thin black layers of smart Indian ink. His works exude love for nature. Animals are treated as if they were engravings, matched with more well-finished - almost decorative – elements. Geometric shapes or simple conglomerated of smoothed edges slow down the rhythm of the picture, reassure and let the eyes rest. The construction of the figures turns out to be harmonious. You will feel the well alternating full and empty spaces. The highly detailed brush strokes and lines develop an absolutely realistic visual plot.
