I liked Podrick when he was loyal to Tyrion, but I started loving him when he became Brienne’s squire. From the first moment he met her, he treated her with the respect and reverence she deserved, at a time when only a handful of people did. He actually listened and learned everything he could from her and he never cared that she wasn’t a knight because he knew she was better than all the knights in Westeros. Never once did he mock her or betray her confidence. He did see how important knighthood was for Brienne and silently told her it was safe to be vulnerable and take that chance.
Everyone says Podrick has a magic cock, sings beautifully and fights well, but I think the reason women love him goes beyond all that. They love him because he is loyal and trustworthy and respectful. And in Westeros, that’s a rare thing. I’m really glad Brienne found him on her journey. And I’m glad he found her, too.

“Irish people don’t want comfort. Look at a sweater made in Ireland – it’s like a turtleneck made out of Brillo pads.”
Happy St Patrick’s day!

I wish it wasn’t the off season for Last Week Tonight. I would kill to watch John Oliver present this crap.
