Re: The Vacation Decoy

Last week we were speculating that L, N & BN flew to Cork for the Fastnet festival (or met up in Cork if L flew separately) and then left from there to Australia (see original post below***)

Today, we get confirmation it is probable...

1) A Primetime Emmys article came out today that states, for the interview, N is in her childhood bedroom in Galway over Zoom ⬇️

• The S3 Bridgy Emmys consideration announcement was on May 1st***

• The interview was likely scheduled after the Emmys consideration announcement was made, so sometime in May

2) W/ the above, N was probably in Galway after the Fastnet Festival in Cork; from the Baftas Nom. Party - on, her schedule was packed:

• Baftas Nom Party - April 24

• Cannes - April 26-28

• Olaplex dinner - May 1

• Miami F1 Grand Prix - May 4-5

• Baftas pre party/ ceremony - May 8 & 11

• Snap Forward at SHFH - May 15-16

• Fastnet Festival - May 23-25

• Portobello Market - May 31 *allegedly* 🚫

3) N may have had some free days pre-Fastnet, but they were still shooting S4 and L was also possibly in WM reshoots.

She only seemed to arrive in Ireland on May 23 for the start of the festival ⬇️

• Cork airport personnel stated she arrived from the UK, as did "The Irish Examiner"

• There are no direct flights from Galway to Cork - only connections i.e. that go back through London (4+ hrs), so if she'd been in Galway pre-Fastnet, she likely would've driven to Cork not flown

• The Fastnet festival is 1.5 hrs from the Cork airport, so staging a photo if she didn't land there would've been out of the way (not impossible just improbable)

4) A few other points:

• N was allegedly seen the same day as RZ at the Portobello Market on May 31 but RZ has been in London since *at least* May 3, per a photo for an "Evita" meet & greet, so it could've been & was likely another Sat. ⬇️

• Ms. A has posted a few pics of the ocean (TY @jmuz09 for asking Sunny where) - perhaps it's to indicate she's on vacation w/L. But L never said he was going on vacation, only N. Is she outing Lukola as the couple in the Adelaide street pic (because if it was N & JD, she wouldn't have to hint otherwise, eh) ?

5) Conclusion: If N being in her childhood bedroom is accurate, the interview was probably post-Fastnet, reducing the likelihood she went back to London before talking off for Adelaide w/ baba & hubby. That makes the Portobello Market a travel decoy, and for whom might she need a travel decoy... ???

A Little Update on Asks

Hey everyone! So firstly, I have Anon Asks turned off, so if you would like me to address your Ask anonymously, just let me know in the Ask.

Secondly, I am basically going to be focusing on PR/celebrity topics I think the Wiz can give more insight on that I haven't already addressed on my blog. I have over 500 posts, so I have talked about a LOT of things already. 😅 I've only been doing the Wiz SS's for a couple months now though, and that is what I will keep focusing on for the foreseeable future.

Lastly, I know I have said this before, but if I don't respond to your Ask, it is more likely than not that I know the Wiz won't be able to address it well through the PR/celebrity lens, or I have already addressed the topic at some point on my blog.

As many of you know if you have looked at my pinned post, I have my educational background in psychology. And it is blatantly obvious that the energy and non verbal cues has been weird and awkward between L/A for about a year and a half now. But you really don't need to have a psychology background to see that lol We're never going to know the full story between L/A/N, and that is alright. But this is not an organic, authentic relationship anymore between L/A atp. It is PR mechanics, plain and simple. Same with N/JD. And they and many other decisions are being fueled by this silent yet very impactful NDA between L/A. But rn, publicly L is in a relationship with A, and N is in a relationship with JD. But if these were authentic, genuine relationships, you would FEEL that. Regardless of how healthy the relationship was or not. And the reason so many people don't feel this way and are scratching their heads with the narratives being pushed is because they AREN'T genuine and authentic. And there are just soooo many holes now in this charade, it's absolutely comical atp.

It's rough out here rn in the Lukola world. Trust me, I feel it too 😅 And I think it's mainly coming from not knowing exactly how long these forced narratives are going to last. I have NO idea atp. I'm hoping sooner than later, but I am no longer speculating on what might happen with L/N until these other public narratives have very clearly ended. I will only be responding to things after they have happened.

But just remember, listen to how you feel when you observe others. It tells you a LOT!

The Failure of Manufactured Momentum

In 2025, can Hollywood continue with the same old party tricks and expect applause? It’s a question I found myself pondering after stumbling upon an onslaught of post BAFTA social media content where one continuous storyline piqued my interest…and not in a good way. 

I don’t usually wade into fandom conversations, but I’ve always had a soft spot for Bridgerton—and Colin and Penelope’s story was my favourite from the books. Beyond that, I’ve kept my distance. I don’t ship actors or keep up with stan drama. But something about this weekend’s BAFTAs, and the very deliberate press rollout that followed, caught my attention. Not just as a viewer, but as someone who’s worked in a corporate public relations adaject role for over a decade and finds the Hollywood machine endlessly fascinating (and completely outdated).

What we’re seeing right now with Luke Newton and Antonia Roumelioti is a textbook example of trying to manufacture momentum when there’s no organic traction to begin with. The cracks are showing. With every single post and article that popped up on my FYP and Instagram feed these past 48 hours, the more I felt like I had a bad case of deja vu. Did I just read the same headline over and over again? Yes…but from different outlets and yet it all felt the same. Interest piqued. Clearly the press kit made the following demands: 

Couple Focused; Antonia is to be treated in the headlines with the same level of celebrity as Luke

Curated Images - the same set of approved images over and over again

Approved language. We get it, Antonia is “glamorous” 

Ah, manufactured momentum, the Hollywood PR machines old faithful approach when you have nothing of substance. Let’s be honest: Antonia is being positioned as a public figure, but the foundation is incredibly thin. There’s no significant modeling campaign to anchor her in that world. Her dance history, beyond being a teenage contestant on Greece’s Got Talent, hasn’t evolved into any noteworthy professional credits. And as an “influencer,” an angle that feels unconvincing, the aesthetic is curated, sure, but there’s no substance—no strong personal voice, no visible passion, no cultural or philanthropic cause to connect with. The identity being presented is vague, and vague doesn’t hold attention for long. Did it ever?  

This isn’t a case of the public being harsh. It’s that there’s nothing anchoring her presence outside of proximity to Luke. And for a rollout to work, there has to be something to build from—an existing spark of interest, a story, something people can latch onto. Right now, that just isn’t there. In PR terms, it’s a classic case of a lack of narrative coherence. 

It’s also not helping that the timing feels off. One year out from Bridgerton S3, and Luke’s visibility has been notably muted.  While Nicola Coughlan has gone from strength to strength since then, Luke’s career has remained.... steady at best. He’s the only Bridgerton lead with a season of the show not signed to one of the major agencies, and despite being positioned as a romantic lead, his trajectory feels… stalled.  So this moment, framed as a kind of visibility push, doesn’t feel rooted in authentic career growth. Instead, it reads as strategy: tie this reveal to a known milestone, hope for carryover attention. The fact that Nicola’s name had to be threaded into nearly every headline surrounding this weekend’s appearance says a lot - borrowed equity. It suggests his team knows he doesn’t generate enough coverage on his own—and that’s a hard truth, but it’s one the public is picking up on.

Unsurprisingly, the reaction has been indifferent at best. Well until it took a turn for the worse. Take the Entertainment Tonight instagram post. When a media push goes a bit too far, it can lead to consequences. Using Nicola’s name here and sidelining her accomplishments to push a couple narrative, well, it was a choice someone made. A bad one at that. Viewers are seeing through the strategy, and instead of buying in, they’re disengaging. That’s the risk when you try to force relevance without real public demand. If anything, this rollout has highlighted just how little genuine excitement there is around either of them right now.

So the question is: where does this go from here? Because from a PR perspective, you can’t build long-term interest on shallow foundations. At some point, there needs to be actual growth—either from Antonia showing a clearer sense of self, or from Luke stepping into a stronger career phase that doesn’t rely on nostalgia or association.

Until then, this push will likely keep feeling exactly as it does now: calculated, hollow, and a little too late.

Truth Isn’t the Villain Here

…or why I won’t be whispering in private DMs to protect PR teams

So here we are, again. Another day at the Lukola Torture Café (thanks Bianca for coining this perfect descriptor - you need to trademark it!😂) with some fans quietly edging toward the exits with murmurs of “Maybe we’re the problem…”

Some version of this sentiment has been gaining traction lately: “Maybe they just want us to stop shipping them.” Maybe we read too much into the glances, the giggles, the “broken chaise.” Maybe the Claddagh was just a nice ring. Maybe Luke wasn't looking at Nicola in his 'This or That' video. Maybe the World Tour was just press. Maybe the chemistry was method acting. Maybe.

But let’s also try this version: Maybe what we saw was real, and it got inconvenient.

And now the Grand PR Narrative — in all its hand-holding, cheek-kissing, PR-plant glory — is asking us to pipe down. Or at least, that’s how it’s feeling. "Retreat to your DMs." "Talk only in private group chats." “Don’t give their teams ideas.” Okay… but why does the solution always involve US getting smaller?

Because make no mistake: we’re not spiraling in a vacuum. We’re reacting. Reacting to ghost posts (where's that 74th or 660th grid post Luke & Nicola? We can count). Tagless "girlfriends" with Getty captions. Missing Claddaghs. People Mag and British Vogue dishing out PR leftovers and calling it a tasting menu. We are reacting to a story that doesn’t make sense — and when that happens, curious people ask questions. That’s not a crime. That’s pattern recognition.

What’s happening now is a reckoning. Fans are exhausted and some are stepping back. Some are divesting — or recalibrating. (Good word, that one.) But others, like me? I’m not stepping back because I said something wrong. I’m just tired of watching clarity be treated like a threat.

I’ve always asked questions, logged breadcrumbs... and held space for hope and doubt. And if my observations — or yours — are inconvenient for someone’s curated narrative? Then maybe it’s time for that narrative to do some adjusting.

This fandom was never supposed to be about groupthink or gatekeeping. It was supposed to be about resonance. We saw light and we saw love. We recognized it! Truth — in all its messy, beautiful, inconvenient glory.

So no, I won’t be whispering in DMs or in my private group chat to protect public illusions. I’ll keep asking and watching and writing.

On my terms... with my voice.

Because if we’re really this threatening? Then maybe we’re closer to the truth than we think.

A Little Break

Hey y'all!

I have decided to take a little step back from the blog for a little bit. It seems they want public shipping to stop/have absolutely no care about the shipping fans atm. Which is FINE, they don't have to!

None of my thoughts have actually changed though and I am completely unphazed. I know, it's weird lol But I have been here a long time now, so I have picked up on a lot of the patterns atp and nothing really surprises me anymore. But I need a little break from the blog.

I'll still be around on Tumblr, so feel free to DM me if you would like to contact me! Might be back in a couple days or a couple weeks... it just depends.

I totally understand if people need a break from the shipping fandom rn! But if you need a space to process your frustrations and feelings, remember to not leave hate on people's public SM accounts. That doesn't accomplish anything.
