be poetic. if you find the way the light falls through your window and onto your bedroom wall pretty, write about it. call it soft and golden as sunlit honey. if it makes you glad to be alive then it’s not silly. you look for the beauty of things, be proud of that. say the heavy rain is kissing you. write about the glow of the moon, the dancing of flowers. make your world magical. collect your metaphors and treasure them.

Too many celebrities obsessed with being seen as real. When I get famous I’m just going to tell as many outrageous lies as possible sick of everyone trying to be relatable

A striking and surreal landscape, Artist’s Palette at Death Valley National Park in California got its name from the patches of color spread across the rugged hills. The greens, blues, golds and purples advertise the presence of metals and minerals left behind by earlier volcanic activity. On a normal bright day, too much sunlight can make this rocky spectrum seem dull. So, they’re best seen during the evening or on rare overcast days. All it takes is a rousing drive and an easy walk to explore this incredible place. Photo by Jon Fischer (www.sharetheexperience.org).
