Heather Duke

1.) She knows ASL. One day, their grade went over to a special needs home and everyone was shocked when Heather Duke was fluently conversing with a kid in ASL and introducing herself and everyone.

I think she just learned it for the sake of knowing something and then gets super ecstatic whenever she hears that she might need to use it

2.) Her dad taught her how to drive a truck when she was twelve

From there, she moved on to cars and when she was 17, she went to a driving school to hone her skills - which were really great and she didn't really need to go.

3.) When she was in middle school, she attempted to summon a demon for fun (she had the tea towel on her head and the candles and everything) and she became acquainted with Heather Chandler the next week.

She spent months convinced that Chandler was the demon she summoned

4.) She does stationery restocks at the start of every term even though her old stationery was still new and super usable

5.) Her hair gets extremely fluffy sometimes

6.) She has once dressed up as Dorothy from the Wizard Of Oz and dressed her cat up as Toto

7.) She would have loved to read Horrid Henry and the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books

9.) She avoids using long words when passing notes in class to Heather Duke, in case she spells it wrong because she knows Duke will definitely pick up her mistake and smirk about it

10.) She actually saw Heather Duke reading The Bell Jar first, called it boring, and then read the blurb and asked Duke reluctantly to let her read it

Heather McNamara:

1.) Loved watching Baby Looney Tunes

2.) Always ends up rowing the boat if the Heathers end up going to a lake or something

3.) She also owns a little boat and a jetski

4.) Has attempted to mow the lawn once but got tired and stopped for a break and left the lawnmower on while she went for a glass of water and then she came back and found this gigantic patch of sand where grass was supposed to be

The hate that Heather Chandler gets pisses me off SO BAD. People are so willing to just ignore everything she went through. There’s this person on TikTok that make “Fictional SA victims” and did Veronica, Duke and McNamara which makes sense since they are SA victims, but I was waiting for the person to do Chandler next and they didn’t. Instead they did a headcanon that JD is a SA victim and I went to the comment section and people were saying “Everyone is except Chandler.”

Like WHAT!? DID YOU NOT WATCH THE SAME MOVIE THAT I DID!? WHAT DO YOU MEAN EXCEPT CHANDLER!? WHY DID THE RAPIST GET AN SA VICTIM VIDEO AND NOT THE 16 YEAR OLD GIRL WHO WAS RAPED ON SCREEN!?

I think a lot of people think that rape is just overpowering someone physically, but as an SA victim that’s been SA’ed in multiple different ways I can say not once did anyone physically overpower me. My situations were a lot like Chandler’s, so it pisses me off that everyone suddenly thinks she’s not an SA victim even though that was arguably a big part of her character.
