Okay, I think I can explain my feelings on this in a way that makes sense.

Watching fandom act like the show is now on its last legs cause Carlos is leaving is so frustrating to see when the large majority of the fandom has made it clear that they only see Cisco as the guy who makes pop culture references and names the metas. There are so many examples of fandom reacting badly to him getting more than that and then there's the fact Cisco has been absent from so many episodes which the majority of fandom didnt have a problem with until Chester started appearing more.

The writers never cared about Cisco and I honestly believe part of that was cause fandom made it clear they didn't care about him

I acknowledge that I’m probably overreacting to Carlos’ and Cisco’s departure. But I think the reason me (and a lot of us) are so upset and angry is because his story just hasn’t really been told at all and his storylines have lacked the depth and thoughtfulness that other main characters would have had (in others shows in general). There’s so much material from the comics that could have been used in regards to his powers, they had so many opportunities to fully explore this character, especially with how versatile Carlos is as an actor. they just chose not too. But we did have 7 great seasons of him, and Carlos has more patience than I would have to stick around that long being sidelined and used as plot devices for other characters, while also watching the character that he loved to portray completely destroyed.

Cisco: Yeah.

Harry: Cool.

Cisco: Huh. It´s the cold. And not that I told you "Your face is freaking adorable and I bet the rest of you is too?"

Hartley: *blushing harder* *voice cracks* N-no.
