i think what hurts most after someone leaving you is remembering all the promises they made and all of the things said would happen and then realizing that those promises are now empty and those future plans will never happen with that person. i think that’s the hardest part of a breakup.

How the Sun came to be
When time began, there were only seven stars. Those stars drifted in space for centuries until they all collided into each other. From the scattered remains, 7 Gods were created. Their names were given as a gift to them from the Void. Adam, the God of Harvest, sought to bring food to the living. Rune, the God of Intelligence, wanted to give and gain knowledge. Aishling, the Goddess of Dreams and sister to Rune. Owen, the God of the Living, wanted to create life wherever he went. Fay, the God of Death, balanced out the living by making them mortal. Anlon, the God of War, often aided Fay when he caused a war. Declan, the God of Peace and brother to Anlon, brought peace among the living when it was needed.
The first thing the gods made was not the Earth. They created a young woman. She had messy, curly hair was fiery red and her skin glowed as if there were fire in her veins. They called her Ignis. Rune taught her how to use her unique powers for good. Anlon taught her how to defend herself while Declan taught her how to solve disputes peacefully. Owen taught her everything about living creatures, and Fay taught her the balance between light and dark. Aishling taught her to trust her dreams and to question everything. Adam showed how to sow seeds into the ground and how to harvest them. Wanting to protect her, they chose to keep her in the Realm of Gods.
They then created the Earth, a rocky planet that didn't have any life. They gave the purest water to the rivers and the seeds of life to the hills. Owen, Rune, Aishling, and Fay came together and made the race of man; a race that would inhabit the Earth. When the 7 Gods created the Earth, it was dark and cold; the only light being that of which the gods themselves provided.
Although thankful for what they were given, the race of man begged for more warmth. The Gods didn't know how to help them. They argued and fought over what to give them or what to create. "I will go!" Cried a voice from behind them. The Gods looked and found that the voice was Ignis. "I will give them the warmth they need," she stated. The Gods didn't respond, for they didn't know how to. "She can give them what they need." Rune calmly said, walking to stand beside her, "We have kept her for too long; it is time for us to let her go." The gods looked amongst themselves and debated on what to do.
Even though they had doubts, they sent Ignis to earth to help the humans. When the humans heard of her arrival, they cried out their thanks. They built statues to honor and worship the 7 Gods. Those statues became the center of the biggest city; Ostborough. She went from town to town giving them fire. They thanked her profusely and often provided shelter when the weather was poor.
When she arrived in the town called Linmoor, she noticed that it was just south of Ostborough. She traveled through the streets giving the people fire to keep them warm in the night. After she left the last house, she started her short journey to Ostborough. Before she could exit Linmoor, she knocked out. When she regained her conscience, she was in an unfamiliar place.
She looked at her surroundings and inferred that she had not left Linmoor. When an older man walked into the room, he explained briefly why she was there. He wanted her powers for his own. The man put her in a cell underneath an abandoned house. He used her light however he wished and caused it to dim significantly. When the Gods saw that her light had vanished, they began to worry. They went down to the earth and searched for her, but the humans knew the gods would take her away. He moved her to a dark cave in the side of a nearby mountain when the Gods weren't looking. She stayed there chained to a wall.
Months went by and Ignis was beginning to lose hope of ever seeing freedom again. It was midday when a young traveler entered the cave. The young found Ignis and went over to help. Ignis learned that his name was Antony Burton of Ostborough. He managed to free her from the chains and escorted her to the great city. They entered the city and went to the statues located in the middle of the market. Once they arrived, Ignis and Antony prayed to the gods.
The gods appeared and spoke with Ignis and Antony. When Antony told the gods how he found Ignis, they were furious. They wanted to punish humanity. They would have if Ignis hadn’t fallen to the ground. She was exhausted from lack of sleep and nutrition. She was dying where she laid. The Gods started to argue over what to do. Anlon and Fay wanted to strip the humans of their gifts, but Declan and Aishling wanted to solve the matter diplomatically.
“Stop.” She breathed deeply. They stopped arguing and looked at her. “What they did was wrong but they still deserve warmth. Let me give them the light they need. Make me a star,” she continued.
The Gods thought over the best course of action with the help of Antony. “She wanted to become a star. She wanted to help us even after all we had done to her,” Antony mumbled sadly as he watched the light fade from her eyes. That day was the day everyone lost someone important. They held a ceremony for Ignis at the bottom of the statues. The humans that came saw the 7 Gods shed one tear each. Those tears slid down their face and fell onto Ignis’ hand. She then grew brighter as she floated higher and higher into the air. After she left the humans sight, they saw an explosion in the sky. They saw the bright orb and basked in its warmth; knowing it was Ignis. She had become a star. Ignis became the Sun.
