Joker purposefully putting a few cards in the ceiling does imply that shutting off the power to get out was his plan from the very start and the whole "getting trapped between two sets of lasers" thing didn't really effect it at all

i didn't really think about it much before but the implications from the mere existence of the Phantom Thief Survival Game are bonkers.

Silver Heart has been "inducted into the hall of fame" for winning multiple times in a row. there's. a Phantom Thief Hall of Fame

they say its the 153rd game, and that it's held every 4 years. unless they changed how often it's held at some point, this means this competition has been a thing for 612 years at least. this implies that in this universe Phantom Thieves at the very least started having their own society wherein this could plausibly be a thing in- *(checks notes)* 1404??? the implications of this are crazy.

(also 1404 is so close to being 1412 i have to assume a Kaitou KID reference was the intention and either they or me didn't do the math right)

Akai commenting things like "humans sure do like banding together" gives the implication that whatever alien society he's from must be very like. solitary? whats the word. individualist? Earth must've been so weird for him if you think about it.
