Shylock & Akira: Happy Birthday Murr!

Chloe & Rustica: Congratulations!

Murr: Congrats me~!

Shylock: Oh dear, when did you happen to sneak in these party poppers…?

Murr: The moment I caught wind we were having a Pajama Party!

Saying that, Murr turned towards me.

Murr: Even the Master Sage is wearing pajamas!

Murr: Is it no longer embarrassing to wear them? Last time you didn't change in them.

Akira: I'd be lying if I said I feel fully comfortable right now…

Akira: But I really wanted to celebrate Murr's birthday with everyone!

Murr: Does that mean you've grown fonder of me? Yippee, now I'm chummier with you Master Sage!!

Rustica: Lucky you, Murr.

Rustica: To commemorate your deepening friendship with the Master Sage and birthday too, I dedicate this melody to you.

Shylock: Allow me then to start preparing some celebratory drinks, of course, yours will be of the non-alcoholic kind Master Sage.

Murr: Me three!! I'll start popping fireworks!

Chloe: Right here!?

Chloe: We wouldn't want to endanger someone,,,, how does confetti sound?

Chloe: Here-! I prepared all kinds of shapes, from stars to flowers. Even ones with your favourite shape Murr, the moon!

Murr: Hooray~!

Murr: Bet it'll look even better sparkling above your head!

As soon as Murr finished his spell, confetti began to fly.

A rainbow of confetti, Rustica's playing, Shylock's drinks… Hearing, sight and taste. Murr's eyes narrowed in satisfaction, able to delight in this luxury with all his senses.

Typical of the western nature, we were enveloped in a melodious cheerful atmosphere with Rustica's performance carrying us on through the night.

Chloe: Okay, it's time to start giving the birthday gift-

Chloe: … Wait, h-huh?

Rustica: What's wrong, Chloe?

Chloe: I left his birthday gift right here, but it's gone,,,,

Murr: Could you be talking about a box big enough to carry with both hands?

Murr: ‘Cus I've hidden it away~!

Chloe: You're kidding!?

Shylock: I had an inkling you were the main culprit. Only someone as strange as you could hide your gift so brazenly.

Murr: Ahaha~ Nothing gets past you Shylock!

Akira: Ummm… Why did you hide the gift, by the way?

Murr: Since it's a gift made by all of you, I wanna keep having fun with everyone right until the moment I receive it.

Murr: It's my surprise gift to you all!

Part 2

Shylock: How typical of you to be unsatisfied with just a celebration.

Shylock: Very well. You're today's main guest, so I shall play along.

Even though Shylock's gaze was gentle, he still gave a soft slap to Murr's shoulder.

Rustica: Even as I already knew the joy of choosing a gift for you, Murr… Now I will have the opportunity to relish our time searching for your gift too~.

Rustica: Thank you Murr, for this wonderful surprise.

Chloe: T-That's… true…… So basically, we get to have twice the fun, right?

Murr: Ok~! Let the Gift Hunter Games begin!

* pop * * pop * * pop *

With a strike of magic, Murr spawned multiple gift boxes around the room.

The boxes were all the same size, but each one had a different colored ribbon or tied distinctly.

Murr: One of these boxes has my actual gift.

Murr: Get it right, I get to have my birthday goodies!

Akira: (Isn't this overcomplicated!??)

Chloe: And what happens if we don't get it….?

Murr: All of us will look like Oz for an entire day!

Akira: (Oz…. That's going to be messy… We definitely have to get it right…!)

Rustica: The ribbons on these mystery boxes are truly delightful. Tied in such intricate shapes, from butterfly-wings to corsage-shaped.

Chloe: The shape of a ribbon…. Ah-! I think I've figured it out!!

Chloe: This has to be the right answer, right? It's the only box with a corsage hanging from it.

Murr: Are ya sure about that~? You're not gonna regret it, are you?

Chloe: U-Ummm,,,, well, if you think about it… wouldn't this be too easy for someone like you Murr….?

Shylock: Don't be naughty Murr, it's cheating to speak with words meant to make the person doubt themselves.

Murr: Aww, I got scolded-!

Rustica: Perhaps the color of the ribbon matters in some way too.

Chloe: Oh, you're right-! It goes from red, yellow, purple and blue too!

Akira: Color…. Could it be that green like Murr's eyes?

Chloe: But it could also be that purple like Murr's hair!

My brain racked around all the possible answers, interrupted only by Shylock's peeping voice.

Shylock: Having known your play style, is this not the perfect time for a hint, Murr?

Murr: Absolutely!

Murr: Let's see, the first hint will be~...

Based on the hints given by Murr and a fair few discussions with everyone… We were able to decide on a single gift box.

Murr: Here. We. Go-!

With a mischievous blink, Murr untied the ribbon swiftly.

Chloe & Akira: !

Chloe: That is my gift!!

Rustica: I see mine there too.

Shylock: Wonderful, looks like everyone's gifts were packed in that single box.

Akira: I have to say, I wasn't expecting the hint Murr gave me to be related to the drawing on the gift box…

Chloe: I kno~w! And also that we had to search for the gifts we prepared, find them and celebrated in turn, feels crazy!!

Murr: But wasn't it fun?!

Chloe: Totally!

Murr: Then-

Murr: Let the 2nd Gift Hunter Games… begin!

Chloe & Akira: W-Whaaaat!?

Rustica: Are we starting already? I will have to get a gift ready right away. May I go pay a visit to the markets?

Chloe: Rustica's got his head in the game already…!!

Shylock: Goodness gracious, at this rate the new day will soon creep on us.

Thus, I participated in Murr's game until night fell asleep.

Part 3

*Chirping *

Akira: Nnnnn….

Akira: This is…. Murr's room?

Akira: (Right, yesterday we had a pajama party in his room. )

Akira: (And afterwards, he started talking about complex topics, forgot about the game… and then I fell asleep.)

I looked around noticing everyone had already left for their room, so it was just Murr and me in the room.

Murr (asleep): ....

There he lied, sleeping soundly in his hammock.

Akira: (It's rare to see Murr sleeping, so this feels rather fresh)

Silky violet hair swayed gently in the air, matching the rhythm of his calmed breathing.

Akira: (... His hair is so smooth.)

Akira: (He's not beating the cat allegations soon, sleeping with his limbs curled up…)

Akira: (... Okay, time to go back to my room. He looks far too comfy like that, I wouldn’t want to wake him up.)

Carefully avoiding making any noise, I turn my back to Murr and slowly creep my way to the door.

Or so I thought, but-

Murr: Ahahah~! I was totally being examined by the Master Sage!

Akira: M-Murr!?!?

Akira: How long have you been awake?

Murr: Around the time you started staring at me!

Murr: ‘Cause I wanted to know how you'd react to me sleeping! So I pretended to be asleep!

Akira: I-I see….

Akira: (How embarrassing,,, to think I was staring so intensely without realizing it…)

Akira: U-Ummm,,, well, sorry for intruding all the way until morning.

Akira: It looks like everyone else has returned to their rooms, so it's about time I return to mine as well….

Akira: W-whoa…!

I felt a tug at my clothing all of the sudden, I turned around in surprise.

Murr: I spent all of yesterday with the Westies and you….

Murr: But today, I'd like it if I could spend it only with you Master Sage!

A far too casual confession, I found myself at a loss of words.

Astounded by the innocence in his request, my eyes were trapped in his gaze… who were searching for my reaction.

Akira: O-Oh…. Is there a reason why…?

Murr: It was super refreshing to be on the opposite side of the equation, since I'm usually the observer!

Murr: Let's stay together all of today! Find more of me!

Murr: Pretty plea~se!

Murr laughed...

I couldn't help but sense a form of trust and affection, like a cat showing its belly to its owner, I felt a smile forming at the thought.

Akira: Alright. If you think I'm fit for the job, I'm happy to help!

Akira: ... but before that, once again-

I raise my hands carefully, as the morning sun beamed brightly reflecting off Murr's eyes-- now looking up.

Akira: Happy birthday, Murr!

Card Episode - Getting Breakfast, Murr Style

[Sage's Room]

Akira: * yawnnnn*…..

Akira: (First wash your face with the magical water bottle, then get dressed-...)

*Door opens*

Murr: Nyello~!

Akira: H-huh,,,, Murr!???

Murr: Good Morning, Master Sage! I'm hu~ngry, let's go make breakfast-!

Akira: W-well,,,, if it's something simple, then….

Murr: Yay~!

Akira: By the way, I didn't know you were an early bird. Is it normal for you to wake up around this hour?

Murr: No clue! Today I woke up starving~.

Murr: Since it’s super early and breakfast isn't ready yet, I thought I'll go like ‘Meow-!’ and go ask for food!

Murr: Also, also! Master Sage was chosen first cause I happened to pass by your room first!

Akira: Yeaaah, that makes sense. I'm glad I happened to wake up early today.

Murr: Why's that?

Akira: Well, if I was still sleeping, I wouldn't have been able to make breakfast for Murr.

Murr: It's totes fine if you were sleeping though, I would've kept meowing until you woke up~!

Akira: Ahahaha….

Akira: (It's giving… a cat waking up its owner to get food….)

Murr’s 4th Anniversary SSR

Card Story: “I Wanna Know About You from Another World”

Part 1 ✦

[Sage’s Room - Day]

Akira: Today’s lunch was delicious too…!

It's a normal free day. Amidst the soft sunlight streaming in through the window, satisfied after a good lunch, my consciousness– as I sit in the chair– slowly declines.

Murr: Master Sage-!

Akira: M-Murr!? Since when did you enter the room……?

Murr: I wonder when! More importantly, Master Sage!! Today’s your day off, isn't it? C’mon play with me!

Akira: Ahahah, Okay okay. What should we do for fun today?

Murr: A pretend interview~! I wanna do something like what Master Sage did to me before!

Akira: (...Is he talking about when I started Sage’s Journal?)

So that the next Sage and future wizards could build a better relationship, I thought of interviewing them and writing their stories down in a journal.

What nostalgic times to remember.

Murr: Today you're the one being interviewed Master Sage!

Akira: ……! Alright. (I wonder what type of questions he’ll ask me…)

Murr: Okay, let’s get started! Your name is?

Akira: Akira.

Murr: How you feeling today?

Akira: I’m feeling good. Ah- although, I guess I was a little sleepy right before you arrived.

Murr: What's some stuff you like?

Akira: Hmmm,,, well… It has to be cats.

Murr: Cats! I love’em too!!

Akira: (Back then, I was the one interviewing everyone like this. It’s kinda refreshing, to be the one being interviewed.)

Murr: Next up… the world where the Master Sage lived!! I wanna know about smartphones and other interesting things like that~!

Akira: Smartphones…… Come to think of it, earlier you said that you got halfway there by mimicking it with a magical science device. Did you end up making it after that?

Murr: Nah, I got bored! But~ if I hear about exciting things from your world, maybe my motivation will come back. Start spilling!

I look back at the eyes sparkling full with curiosity, and think back to my original world.

Akira: Hmmm… let’s see. Speaking of things that don’t exist in this world are phones, televisions, cameras… VR.

Murr: VR?

Akira: Ummmmm, how to explain it… It’s a device that when used, you can experience the scenery of a completely different place, or feel like you’re right in front of an animal that is not supposed to be there.

Murr: *nod nod*

Akira: When I first arrived in this world, I originally thought it was VR. Suddenly finding myself surrounded by people I didn’t know and in a landscape I had never seen before.

Murr: I see! And this VR can show you a variety of sceneries and things without relying on the user’s memory. As I thought! Stuff in the Master Sage’s world is real interesting!! Even though magic doesn’t exist, they create things that are like magic!

Now then, what should my next question be…? There’s still your hobbies, lifestyle, sexual preferences and-...

Akira: (W-What sort of information are you looking for!?) P-Please be gentle with me…!

Part 2 ✦

A while after our interview started, Murr said he remembered something and left the room abruptly.

Akira: Just like a storm… (I wonder what the errand was about? Or rather, will he return after finishing said errand??)

I think about this and that, but the sleepiness I had forgotten comes back and interrupts my thoughts suddenly.

Akira: *yawwwn* …I think I’ll take a 5 minute nap.

After closing the door, I relaxed back down in my chair.

Murr: —I’m back! …Huh?

Akira: Zzzz Zzzz

[Manor Hallway]

*knock knock*

Mitile: Ah, Master Sag-eh?!

Riquet: Murr…?

Murr: Heyo~! Whatcha up to you two?

Mitile: Well, the two of us baked cookies and we thought we would share some with the Master Sage. Are they inside?

Murr: They are. But now’s no good! Master Sage is busy with some important work, so it's best to save them for later!

Riquet: I heard today they had the day off… but it’s not right to disturb them if they’re working.

Mitile: Then, we’ll come back after the work is finished.

*walks away*

Murr: Hmm~

Chloe: Ah-! Murr! Thank you again for being my model earlier!

Murr: No problem!

Chloe: Hey, is the Master Sage in the room right now? I also made clothes for them and I’d like them to take a look at it.

Murr: Now’s no good! Cause I’m hoarding my dear Sage’s time all for myself right now!

Chloe: E-Ehhh!? I-Is that so?? I supposed I’ll come back later then… Murr… Just to be on the same page, you won’t play any extreme pranks on the Master Sage, right…?

Murr: What madecha think that?

Chloe: Well, because it’s written all over your face!! That look of “I’ve found a nice toy!”

Murr: Ahahaha! Okay, I’ll just keep one of Master Sage’s hair for research purposes then!

[Sunset Lake Meadow]

Akira: …Nghh

When I opened my eyes, a lake at dusk laid before me. Sparkles glittered on the lake's surface, as the setting sun fell on its shores.

Akira: …How pretty… …W-Wait!? Where is this!?!? I should have fallen asleep in my room….

*meow*

Akira: A purple cat…?

Attracted by the cry, I looked down at my feet. There lay a strange cat with a bizarre coat. When our eyes met, he jumped onto my lap.

Akira: T-Too cute~!!! I wonder if it’s a magical creature that looks like a cat??

*meow*

Gently, I stroke the cat’s head whilst keeping an eye on it. Now that I’m suddenly thrown into a place I don’t know, I can’t help but want to rely on this small creature.

Akira: Hey, do you know where we are?

???: I do know!

Akira: (Wait– this voice is…?)

???: <<Eanul Rambul>>!

[Sage’s Room - Sunset]

Akira: This is… my room?

Murr: That’s right!

Akira: Murr!?

When I sat up on the bed, Murr was laughing right in front of me. It brought back a memory when Murr observed my sleeping face just like this moment.

Akira: (....Hold on? Didn’t I fall asleep in the chair today??) Ummmm… What is it?

Murr: Thanks for playing! That VR thing? A scenery of a completely different place and animals that aren’t supposed to be there right in front of you!

Akira: Ahhhh! So that was meant to recreate VR! (But unlike VR in my world, here it can easily be done without using any machine… magic truly is marvellous.)

Murr: How was it? Did ya sleep well?

Akira: Yeah. I only intended to nap for 5 minutes… but I ended up falling asleep.

Murr: It's fine, isn't it~? On your day’s off, it’s your job to rest. Congratulations on your hard work!!

While saying this, Murr patted the bed.

Akira: (Maybe it was Murr who moved me to the bed…?) Hmm? Come to think of it, when did you come back to my room? Your errand-...

Murr: Ended in a flash!

Akira: So, you came back soon after that. Sorry, I didn’t notice… Wasn't it boring?

Murr: Not one bit! I was able to observe the sleeping Sage, after all.

Akira: By observing, you mean…

Murr: How fast you breathe when you sleep. How often you toss and turn. The interval between your sleep talking and also-...

Akira: (T-There’s more!?) M-Murr, it’s okay to stop there…! I understand what you mean by observing!! Ummmm,,, just to confirm but– you haven’t done anything else other than observing, right?

Murr: ………Yeah~!

Akira: (That… felt like a delayed response. And for a moment it felt like he was looking elsewhere too…)

For just a moment, I reached out to touch the top of my head; where I felt someone’s eyes on me.

Murr: I knew it! Master Sage you’re really interesting!! I love interesting things!

With a booming voice, Murr closes one eye. Shylock's words suddenly came to mind brought by such sights.

Akira: (“Don’t look with both eyes, look with one eye…” You said it was a sign that you were missing something.) (But that anecdote seems to be from before Murr’s soul was shattered, and the current one just happens to be a wink…right?)

Murr: Ah~! Today was lots of fun! From VR to the Master Sage’s observations! Let’s play again next time too, Master Sage!

I don’t know if that was an honest wink or not… However, I was struck by the sight of Murr smiling happily.

Card Episode: “Murr and the Door of Bygone Days”

[Murr’s Room]

Akira: It seems like a door that lets you see into the past has appeared on the shores of Borda Isle. Speaking of the past– when I had just arrived to this world– whenever I felt anxious I recalled a certain memory that made me feel at ease.

Murr: Oh~! What sorta memory?

Akira: It’s a scene from my childhood where an adult, who’s someone I trust, read a book to me.

Murr: And that memory protected the Master Sage from anxieties!

Akira: Yeah. Murr, do you have any memories that could be used for protection too? A memory that would make you feel safe.

Murr: Hmmm~ What could it be~? That's a very difficult question!

Akira: Difficult… how so?

Murr: Philosophically so!

Akira: Huh… It makes me kinda happy hearing that, coming from such a distinguished philosopher. But, what makes it philosophical?

Murr: I tried looking for a memory that’d make me feel safe, but I’m not one that really seeks safety!

Akira: Ah- that would be the case!

Murr: Isn’t it!

Akira: Why is it so?

Murr: I wonder why~! This may be the entry to an entire new truth! Like all living things, particularly so the remnant of one, isn’t it inevitable that we should seek safety?

Akira: I concur. Personally, I am always looking for safety.

Murr: Rightly so! And yet, why– why is it that I place safety second? Is it cause I loathe boredom? Well, it might just be a matter of probability! If there were only individuals who sought safety, the species as a whole would become extinct in a crisis. In order to avoid the extinction of a species, we need individuals with different characteristics who avoid the same behavioural pattern as the rest. After all, there are spirits, wizards and humans with different temperaments in five distinct lands. The meaning of such complexity could be…

Akira: (Somehow, this took a very serious turn) Ummmm… Hey Murr, can I have a word in?

Murr: What is it?

Akira: If you don’t mind, could you please answer my question in a heartfelt and warm manner?

Murr: Okay~!

Akira: Thank you very much! Let me ask once again, what is a memory that brings you peace of mind and think of when you’re feeling anxious?

Murr: That’d be~! The faces of people who chased their dreams and became stars!

Akira: Stars… (Ah-... He must be talking about people who passed away…) (Murr was a researcher after all, so he must have known many friends and scholars.)

Murr: I’ve forgotten most of them! But– every now and then they pop back up! When I do remember, I always think there’s no time to waste. They don’t have time anymore, so that’s why… Time is here and now! And that means not a single drop can be wasted!!

Card Story: The Day I Held Your Hand

Part 1

[Manor Courtyard]

Akira: Hmm? There's some lively chatting over there.

Stepping into the courtyard with the Sage's manual, I hear Rustica, Murr and White chatting away with teacups in hand.

Akira: Good afternoon everyone. Looks like you're having a lovely time. Is this a party for only you three?

Murr: Righto~! We're the left behind-trio!

White: Yours truly got left behind by Snow dearest, as he has gone out on a mission….

Rustica: Likewise, I too have been left behind as Chloe has parted on a mission.

Murr: Lastly, me! I've been left behind by the moonlit night~!

Akira: I see… So it's this type of gathering, huh…

Rustica: Master Sage, are you out on a stroll? If you don't mind my asking, would you like to be our fourth participant? I will get a chair for you in a moment's notice.

Akira: Ahaha, thank you for your consideration. However, right now I'm going around interviewing the wizards.

Akira: It's been a while since we've met and I wanted to update the Sage's manual now that I know everyone better.

White: Ah right, that conversation.

Rustica: How lovely, we talked about this the other day.

Akira: Well, if it's okay with you, do you want to do the interview right now Murr…?

Murr: Sounds interesting! I'm calling dibs~!!

Akira: A-Ah… Ummm, sorry I was going to ask the question to you…

Murr: So the theme is about me now vs past me, yeah?

Murr: Floor's yours Rustica!

Rustica: Talking about past and present Murr, huh? Let's see…

Rustica: I never had the honor of meeting Murr before his soul shattered. Yet I've always held great respect for him as someone with a vast reservoir of knowledge and being the genius of the century.

Murr: Ya sure you've never met me? We've both lived long lives, so what if we've met once already and forgot about it~?

Rustica: Would it truly be possible?

Rustica: ....

Rustica closed his eyes and thought about it for a moment, then looked up as if an idea had illuminated his mind.

Rustica: ... Ah! I remembered something just now. I have met someone like you in a dream of mine.

Rustica: We were holding hands with a Specterfish whilst waltzing atop the most massive ultramarine lemon.

Akira: (... Sounds like the type of dream you have when a high fever gets you….)

Murr: What fine dreams you have~! Let's make a meunière out of that old me and the Specterfish!!

Rustica: Ahahaha! Might I add, I also respect the Murr of today, always able to entertain us with such playful concepts.

Murr: Nyay! I was praised~! Next up iiiis~.... White, your turn!

White: Out of everyone, you think it best to ask me…..? Fearless dastard.

White: Now, just like back then, this chap has the meddlesome nature of pecking and disturbing people's hearts.

White: However…. He may be a tinge more charming than he ever was.

Murr: Hey, hey~ Is this whatcha mean by charming~? BARK BARK MEOW~!

Murr then proceeded to imitate a cat while laying on White's lap. In an instant, he fell asleep only following it up by intense snoring.

Akira: H-huh….!? He fell asleep…..

White: Now you!!! Wake up this instant! This is a seat reserved specially for Snow!!

Rustica: I wonder, is he dreaming of a most wonderful time now? Perhaps, he's rejoining the Specterfish for a waltz.

White: *sigh* Some things never change… Truly the utmost selfish free-spirit.

Part 2

[Manor Bar - Afternoon]

Akira: (In the end, the interview had to be postponed… I want to ask Murr again.)

Akira: He wasn't in his room, so maybe here…

Shylock: What lovely surprise, Master Sage.

Murr: It's you again!!

Uninterrupted, Shylock combed Murr's hair as he sat on a chair.

Murr: While I was sleeping, White made cat ears from my hair! Meow~!

Akira: Ah… It must have happened after Cock Robin called me away.

Shylock: Usually I would have left it alone for this evening, but after his unending playtime… It appears he got all messy and dishevelled, thus I'm styling it up.

Murr: Being groomed by Shylock feels so comfy~!!

Murr looked to be in a great mood. If he truly were a cat, he would surely be purring right now.

Shylock: Have you been looking for Murr, Master Sage?

Akira: Yeah. A lot was going on before, so I couldn't really do the interview…

When I told Shylock what happened at the tea party, he nodded in amusement.

Shylock: I see, so that's what transpired. I would like to point out what nostalgic scene this is. Once more you have arrived at the bar seeking to interview Murr.

Akira: Now that you mention it, yeah… That time a fragment of Murr ran away.

Shylock: Being proficient in most things… I did expect his sudden escape, yet I never imagined him doing so in such an outlandish manner.

Murr: Oo~h? Was my fragment really like that?

Shylock: Indeed. After having deceived the Master Sage, he disappeared into thin air. A mighty nuisance, wouldn't you agree?

Shylock's words contradicted his genuine laughter. It seemed joyful.

Murr: Hmmmm~

Before Murr could finish his sentence, Shylock shushed him by placing his index finger to Murr's lips.

Shylock: You can ask me about it another time. The conversation here is about the interview with you and the Master Sage, correct?

Murr: Oh yeah! I wanted to ask Master Sage something too!!

The corners of Murr's mouth curl into a smile.

Nervously, I looked down at my feet.

Instead of the usual sitting down, Murr invited me to stand on the broom like he does.

I feel Murr hug me tightly around the shoulders.

Murr: This way, it feels more like a stroll than just riding, yeah?

[Still in the Middle of the Skies]

Akira: Riglin??

Murr: Birds that fly right before the sunset sleeps! Wait for me!!

All the sudden the broom picked up speed and I instinctively clung to Murr.

Akira: H-Help!?!?

[City of Glory - Afternoon]

Murr: Wei~rd. We're all the way out in the City of Glory after following the birdie nonstop.

Akira: G-Geez,,,, We ended up going pretty far, huh…

The canal was dyed in vibrant orange and I saw a boat sailing by.

Akira: Oh-...

Murr: Something wrong?

Akira: Back then, I ended up arriving here too… at the request of your fragment. Although it ended up with me getting completely fooled.

Akira: I remember him running away on a boat, with a dusk just like this one.

Murr: So? Do you hate that part of me that deceived you? Do ya resent me?

Akira: I wouldn't call it hatred or resentment…

Grabbing my hand, Murr jumped off the railing, landing atop the ship crossing under the bridge.

Looking at the direction Murr pointed at, towards the rear end of the boat, lied the blazing sunset creating a sparkling orange path above the water's surface.

Much like a painting, or a jewel’s glimmer… the view was beyond breathtaking.

Akira: .... It's beautiful….

Murr: Ahaha! Master Sage, your eyes are shining just as brightly!

As I gazed upon the water's surface, Murr tilted his head, peering down at me. I could see the curiosity reflected in those emerald eyes.

Murr: Time for an interview with the Master Sage~!

Murr: The me I used to be… these fragments of my self would never be left to roam free, but what about the me now?

Murr: What do you think of me?

Upon hearing that question, I recalled images from some moons ago. A ship sailing off into the distance beneath a beautiful sunset like that of today.

Murr's fragment left me behind and kept sailing on his own.

But today I am on a boat. The man in front of me took my hand and said ‘Let's go together’.

I looked back into Murr's eyes and answered clearly.

Akira: ....I love you!

Murr: Hooray~!

✧˳⁺⁎★Fireworks✧˳⁺⁎★

Like popping crackers, Murr set off fireworks in response to his good mood.

Many large flowers bloomed, scattered between the evening sky, as if trying to burn holes in its canvas.

Akira: (Again, I ended up being the one interviewed though….)

Akira: (Still... I want to write about this moment in the Sage's manual, of Murr laughing right in front of me.)

I smiled, looking up at the vibrant shimmering sky.

Card Episode: What I Can Share, Because It's Now

[Manor Courtyard]

Akira: Thank you for the invite last time Murr!

Akira: It's no interview 2: the revenge but I wanted to ask, is there anything you can share now?

Murr: Yup yup! The number of cats in your room has increased!!

Akira: ... Number of cats? Can you explain??

Murr: Master Sage didn't look as chipper as usual right after the Magic Manor burned down, so I wanted to give you a bit of a surprise!

Murr: You can find in various places pictures of cats like under the table or hiding behind books on the bookshelf, drawn by yours truly!

Akira: ....! So that's what it was! A while ago, when moving a book, I found a doodle of a cat and couldn't figure out why it was there…!

Akira: I thought it was very cute and after finding it, it did make me feel all warm and fuzzy. Thank you so much for the wonderful surprise!

Murr: My pleasure~!

Akira: Hold on…? Wait, how did you manage to do it without me noticing??

Akira: I usually lock the room when I'm away…

Murr: Since you record a lot of memories with me in it, I'm sure you'll figure it out!

Murr: Clink Clank!!

Akira: .....? That's…. A gesture like opening a lock??

Akira: ..... Ah-! Don't tell me, is it that magical key that opens any door!? You showed it to me before, right?
