idk if anyone needs this but i made a scrappy text translation of chapter 89 of witch hat atelier yesterday! it might help better than a machine translation if you follow along with the speech bubbles. :)

#witch hat tag #witch hat atelier spoilers #whaspoilers #animation tag #never would i have expected that oru saved his life and glomped him immediately #(i'm glad that oru has found a distraction from his trauma - i think he's the type who capitalises on a distraction from dark memories #so a stupid quarrelsome beautiful new connection will make a big claim on his thoughts as happens to a child's mind)#or that qifrey the poor dear angel IMMEDIATELY felt the mysterious Twinge (i didnt know how else to put that 'zobon' or whatever it was)#seriously?? i thought maybe you felt happy and then it all came crashing down after the tower. i didnt realise you already....#began to feel SAFE the very moment you met him..i'm starting to tear up again. ive cried a lot abt orufrey in the past few days..the usual #vvv personal rambles. i've been spending time on a completely unrelated translation project and i think it's helping settle my head #(i've translated over 40 songs and other stuff too since wednesday.............)#i'll never care about wha less..don't want to. but thinking about other things can help me feel calmer #less frustrated about not being able to make art good enough to reflect my emotions. about the alienation #feeling i don't have to be drawing all the time will actually be able to help me express myself better.#i think i read once - and i feel it too - that taking breaks from art can actually make you a better artist when you come back #and i've realised again that i need to focus on original art too. it'll help. it's my future. stories and characters i completely own #i've made a little neocities for my wha/orufrey stuff..cai's atelier. i'll work on that too. my safe place. my little wha world #what shirahama wants to say... and what it means to me. those are the two points of my fan experience..always.#this hasnt all been for nothing. theres even people who appreciate what's specific to my art - just like how everyone has a specificity.#yea getting personal on a sillay gif when i havent drawn anything good in ages. but it's still my journey...

Oh my precious orufrey era. save me #i still feel off after an internet break so it's hard to fully absorb its emotions..but it brought my weak heart back to life also #finding it difficult to bring myself back to my drawingy self but i'll instill 89 thoughts into art tags soon i'm sure #if i TRULY leaned into my personal scottish/northern english oru vibes i would have had him call the kid an eejit
