*.:。☾☆ *.:。      It was taking every ounce of self control not just jump up and hug him. It was really all she could think about as she repaired the generator, feeling like time was moving so agonizingly slow. It didn't help that Della could feel Chris's eyes on her in that first moment, causing her breath to hitch. Reaching into her toolbox, she could feel her heart beat fast with the anticipation of getting to talk to him again. They were almost done!

                              Once the lights popped on, Della sprang into action, grabbing her toolbox and Chris's hand, pulling him away quickly. She needed to have time to talk to him for a minute. As soon as she knew they were safe, she crouched down and gestured at him to do the same-- enveloping him into a hug the second that she could do so.

                              ❝ I missed you so much. ❞

It’s been so long since he’s heard the sound of her voice, some would say too long – but he’d be thankful if he never had to hear it in the first place. After all, it meant she wouldn’t be HERE. She’d be anywhere but here. Even before all this mess, during the outbreak, he’d been hanging onto a thread she was okay. And now they’re trapped in this hellish purgatory together. He feels his breath hitch, and he glances at the generator before looking back at her, absorbing the situation presented to him.

He’s not entirely sure what to say as his heart sinks. He crouches down next to her, twisting one of the nobs on the machine. The silence speaks volumes, and he frowns firmly, staring at her face for a brief moment. Chris knows she doesn’t want to talk about it right now, but at the same time—he thought she was dead or worse.

*.:。☾☆ *.:。      Sometimes Della just couldn't help herself! She thought she was all clear to move across the way toward the hook where another survivor had just been placed. Hurrying over, she realized too late that the killer had returned. It was lucky that they were both able to get away, though she didn't pull that off unharmed.

                              There was no way she was going to stop until she was absolutely sure that she was no longer being followed, so when she heard the other woman's voice, Della felt relieved. Finally feeling safe enough to, she slowed down and made her way to the stranger.

                              ❝ Yeah well, at least the other guy is alright. I'll be fine too! Easy peasy. ❞

                              She was definitely out of breath, but that was better than the alternative.

She hadn't seen anyone else so far in this and she certainly hadn't expected to find a friendly face. Upon meeting his eyes, Della felt like her heart had just dropped into her stomach. The last thing she wanted was for anyone else she cared about to be found here. Slowly, she nodded.

                              ❝ Chris? No offense.. But I really didn't wanna see you here... Let's finish this wiring, then we'll talk if there's time, okay? ❞
