Episode 12 | LITA The Comedy: The Clown Quartet

This was hands down one of the funniest scenes yet. A much needed cackle for me. Jesus Christ Rain, I am in awe of how your brain works, you hopeless, brainfog nugget. I did not expect Prapai and Rain to be the chaotic bickering duo out of the four, but I’m here for it. Just Sky and Payu sitting back and watching their SOs have at it like ‘there, there, try to stay calm honey’.

Some don’t often fully realise, because it gets so easily lost in all the romance and swoonworthiness, how much time, energy, money, effort, patience and emotion Prapai invests into his relationship with Sky, into something that is so fragile and uncertain and hangs solely on a fool’s hope that Sky might one day fall in love with him and allow him to make love to him despite being barraged daily by constant rejections. Being the one doing the chasing takes disproportionally more toil on that person than being the one on the receiving end and relatively passively receiving all that attention. 

People often say that what tires them most about their job is the commuting and Pai has been driving for months now several times a week, making the 1-2 hour long trip to Sky’s house and back again to turn himself with a wave of a magic wand into Sky’s housekeeper, nanny, caretaker, friend and whatever else he needs him to be in addition to going to his regular job without ever complaining. He must have been terribly exhausted but he has never dared to show it because Sky would tell him to leave or be worried. 

In episode 11, we get the first hint of how hard it’s been on him. Not only because he allows to slip how long the journey to Sky’s home actually is but also because we see him arriving home very late from work, rushing to Sky in the middle of the night in his car, spending hours helping with his project, fall asleep in the wee hours of the morning, only to wake himself up at 6:40 so he could drive Sky to school and go straight to work again.

it’s often these mundane things which are in plain sight that people fail to notice the most even though they are worth of admiration the most.

If Prapai and Sky’s story were a fairy-tale, it would be the one where the prince has to overcome an arduous journey full of perils and accomplish three difficult tasks and all that just to spend a few hours with the princess and hold her hand. If he got paid the average hourly wage for all the time he spends driving and with Sky, a six-months courtship would make him a millionaire.

It’s lovely how despite his anger, frustration and exhaustion (yes, exhaustion because many don’t realise it’s also partly exhaustion with which he’s speaking) Pai make sure to tell Sky that every single one of those long trips is more than worth it if it means seeing him and spending time with him. It might be time-consuming and hard on him but he still soldiers on like a trooper because Sky is priceless to him and worth it all.

Episode 11 | Prapai’s Horny Crisis (The Sequel)

This was such an endearing and funny scene. Sky having no idea whatsoever what sort of turmoil he’s been putting this man through. Prapai desperately trying to hold onto whatever flimsy shreds of sanity he still has remaining. And when Sky kisses him with such enthusiasm, he responds like a man to water in a desert.

Episode 11 | “Let’s go home.”

Those are probably some of the most comforting words. Let’s go home, back to our home, the home we’re building together, which means me and you. I also love the way Sky’s gaze has changed to being more openly touched by the things Prapai says and does. He’s not trying to actively hide it anymore.

From unabashed, unaware jerk and embarrassment of a man who embraced being called an asshole and making jokes about his dick TO being mindful, considerate boyfriend who gets incredibly agonised and mortified over coming across like a senseless dick.

And that’s what we call character development folks.

Absolutely losing my mind over the fact Teacher Sani went “why don’t we give the boys a short suspension and give them time to reflect.” And Akk proceeded to go home to his parents with his boyfriend, come out to his parents and then lose his virginity and have an idyllic romantic getaway with his besties and parents.

“Reflection” He’s getting laid with his future husband who’s probably ditching school to be here!

“Improve their behavior” He’s have a beach celebration with his friends watching the BL movie he starred in and cuddling with his boyfriend

Teacher Sani was the real ally all along, huh?

this scene is adorable as hell and i’m still reeling and all but can we take a moment to look at aye’s face. yes that is the face of a man in love but that is also the face of a man coming to the sobering realization he’s never going to be able to maintain a tough front during any future argument with his bf for the rest of his life. akk literally had to say nothing but “c'mon let’s cuddle :)” and aye was done for. hashtag thoughts and prayers for ayan

Like I don't know what but the way prapai looked at sky during the entire scene just had me chills. Just fucking chills.

Those eyes that I barely see hold so many emotions that make me feel emotions but I can't name emotion.

But most of all this got me all 🥺

WHO COULD HAVE POSSIBLY SURVIVED THIS??? WHO???

The sheer heartbreak, the utter devastation, the complete carnage, the undiluted PAIN, the merciless assassination on my heart this scene managed to do to me in one fell swoop.

First and Khaotung once again destroying us with their GOD-TIER ACTING. I cannot stress THE ACTING in this scene. How do we get so lucky to see two young actors who can match each other like this?

“so whenever anyone in this room ever feels like ‘I’m about to lose it, it’s gonna be drama’, maybe that’s a good thing. sometimes pressure backs us all into a corner, where we feel like ‘oh there’s gonna be some confrontation’ or ‘I’m gonna miss that deadline’ or ‘I’m gonna fail at doing this thing’ and sometimes that’s just your body’s way of saying ‘you have to confront this at some point’ and then you’ll grow from it.”  (x)

It’s the way Prapai finally steals himself that one fleeting caress of Sky’s cheek to sustain him for a whole week without him, after spending half of the episode trying to touch Sky and failing. There is nothing sexual about it, yet it feels profoundly intimate because Prapai isn’t being creepy or pushy, nor having any ulterior motive, instead it’s the way he openly expresses affection to the few people he actually loves. As seen from his interactions with his siblings, touch plays an important role to him when it comes to showing his love for others, it’s something inherent to him and the way he communicates with people he cares about.

When Sky refuses to believe he genuinely wants him, Prapai gets desperate, asking Sky what if he’s being sincere, the frustration of Sky’s constant rejections finally getting to him, and attempts to gently caress Sky’s cheek to get his sincerity across, to show Sky and convince him he is serious about him because for Pai intimate and tender caresses like this are something he only reserves for those he adores, so when Sky rejects him once again and pushes his hand away, it truly hurts him. This is really the moment he loses control over his emotions and forgets all the flirting and politeness because he starts to fear he may lose Sky.

Episode 8 is really about showing that Prapai is sincere and means every single word he tells Sky, regardless how seemingly cheesy those words may seem. He loves those bewitching eyes whose colour he craves to learn as if it was the biggest mystery of the universe, he adores those cheeks which he desires to make blush and caress, he cherishes the messy hair he wants to pat and he longs for those sweet lips beyond reason yet refuses to kiss them unless Sky wants him to.
