I think the funniest thing they could do next season is at the end of the first episode, the rose!Doctor dies.

And now she’s Martha. So next episode, Freema gets to be the Doctor until right at the end, where some misfortune befalls her and she regenerates.

Into Donna. And at the end of that episode, another regeneration, this time into Amy. Each episode is the next major companion following the order of the show.

And then for the finale, yaz!Doctor finishes it off by regenerating into the Real 16th Doctor. who is not anybody seen so far on the show.

(How many episodes would that be? Which companions get to shine? Idk.)

they would collectively be “the Companion Doctors”. We’ve already lost the ordering and now the Doc’s for real got limitless regenerations. so why not, right?

@rowanthestrange ohhhh close actually. definitely some masquerading. it moreso begs the question of what if Division trained and exploited the doc and the master as assassins, and every time they rebelled they recalled them? and even when they successfully escape, the agent killing instinct is so ingrained that neither can deny the urge for long. so maybe the doctor tries to be better… and maybe they end up back at the basics with a companion that’s just too good not to train and give in with. and maybe the master conquers and plays games and distracts himself but in the end always returns to what he knows best—under his own control until he isn’t.

where does Clara fit in? well, that’s part of the mystery… that may be revealed if I ever actually finish and post the story. rest assured she causes him lots of ire and trouble LOL

I hate getting emails from Pinterest for violations on pins I saved like they’re not even MY pins why am I in trouble??? and 90% of the time it’s like. interior design. or a painting of some couple kissing. that somehow gets flagged as graphic sexual content. and eventually gets reinstated because there was absolutely zero fucking in that aesthetic picture of a kitchen. cmon man. ridiculous.
