Once the heart gets too heavy with pain, people don't cry. They just turn silent. Completely silent.

⊰ ☾ ⊱~; Pristine white, descending from heavens above were tiny little snowflakes, which reminded the lone-standing wolf of tiny pearls. The chilly wind felt like just a gentle pat against his skin, every droplet of snow seeming as if it were tears from the lonely moon above; so very like him it stood in the endless sea of stars which danced in a dizzy waltz with the snowflakes just as bright. Letting out a long long exhale, it mingled in the air for a brief moment, melting anything nearby, and every drop landing against his skin also evaporated even before it could leave behind any trace. Werewolves ran hotter after all, a simple sweep of winter like this made no difference to Derek, it was nothing but a gentle whisper that barely touched him, its echo fading away quick. His hot breath was carried upwards, to where his eyes were lingering against the crisp outline of the moon, not yet full but nearing the completion that so many linked to his kind, as if it were the sole benefactor for a wolf to let out a cry- myth that carried was throughout time and eras. The gentle sobs were soon joined just by that, first one, then two...after that a choir of long howls crying out pierced the evening. "She stayed... they made sure of it, for whenever her beloved son will come to visit." Each cry was like a gentle 'hello-welcome back- it's been a while- hope you like it- silly, of course we kept company!', some younger and eager whilst most of them deeper with a sweetness that carried the longing and endearment so warm, that the lycan couldn't hold back his own throat from contracting, expelling the long-awaited' We're home!'. It was as if the whole forest suddenly came alive, resonating with so many heartbeats that Derek had a bit of an issue picking them all out, lingering behind were joy and sadness, love and bitterness... -
"Finally you've arrived...welcome home, both of you. I've been waiting for this day- come now. It is time." The voice that spoke seemed far away, but at the same time, Derek couldn't pinpoint if he was the only one hearing it, being so gentle like a breeze of the wind rustling through the canopy of leaves.
A little path opened behind them, barely visible to the naked eye, as the barrier shifted ever so slightly to let him and Lavi out from the burial side. Giving the redhead another longing look, wanting nothing more but to comfort him somehow, the wolf chose not to disturb the one place where he had no role nor right to step in, and moved towards the pathway slowly. "Doesn't matter if he didn't allow it... because she did anyway." How he knew that, no idea. It was as if the land itself was making him spew words that he couldn't back up from any previous memories. And who it was that the boy was mourning with such deep sadness, that it was making Derek wanna wrap around him and become a shield that would never let anyone else hurt him this way? Hell, he didn't know. But the scent was familiar, one linked to Lavi and the tender note of cherry blossom that sometimes he could smell underneath all that iron, oak, and musky hint.
'Don't be nosy, little pup.. all at it's time." Derek let out a huff, teeth gritted together it was starting to tick him off that someone was almost readying his mind? It was not the first time it would be so, alas it felt like there was a boundary breached yet again. "I will wait for you outside, Lavi... when you're ready. Someone is calling for u, someone you knew a long time ago?".
Derek couldn’t tell if the whispered word was a name, a curse or perhaps it was a greeting to the ones who were not welcome. yet the way that it was uttered it made the lycan pause, was it not a name that he had heard once before, or perhaps it was something left behind for him in the back of his mind, like an itch just there waiting to be touched. and for a moment he felt the urge to reply as if it was a call out to him, unfamiliar, yet it left a bitter taste afterward.
Faraday. it sounds like a far-away place that he wanted to visit but hated and feared ., almost like the Moon pushed the sea to touch the shore and kiss the edges of land, only to once again call it back, ripping it away with a force unlike any other.
… a whisper in the wind carried his melody.
And carried it did, Derek could only follow the call that bounced from tree to tree, leaves tickled by each syllable and shivered with glee.; the land breathed a sigh of relief, wiping clean his mind. Two orbs of deepest black enveloped within a veil, observed him with an understanding that made the wolf feel a tad irritated, the back of his neck itching as every hair stood alert. “So, now you talk to birds as well.. What are you, Doctor Dolittle?” Derek tried to add a bit of a teasing edge to the last part, funny enough that he even admitted knowing the franchise even –a sharp tap on top of his head brought him back to the ‘now’. “What the-” The caw cut through the silence of the forest like the snap of a whip, sounding almost like the damned bird tried to scold him, gliding smoothly on the hands of the wind. And then it were no more, not even the rustling of a feather could be heard- the last caw like a call to be followed.
Scratching the place where the acorn had landed on his head, the lycan almost unwillingly followed the direction where he had seen the dark shadow vanish quietly.“Hope not all your buddies here are this friendly…you need new friends."Grabbing the read-head by the collar,  he didn’t leave any room for a choice to be made, the entire month by now was beyond exhausting. "I’ll its feathers out if it messes with us."A low growl rippled softly underneath his breath, making the letters tremble as he spoke. What confused and unsettled him a bit in this, was how easy it was to walk through this path unknown to him, but his wolf was now like a little pup returning back to its den.
Stopping at last it was as if his body had been forced to do so, an invisible barrier that he could almost touch if he were to reach out, it buzzed around the small enclosure nesled neatly in the heart of the forest surrounding it. Serene and so lonesome it seemed, no matter how much beauty embraced it with with its vibrant blooming petals of royal blue. Lonely and lost, forgotten. Derek almost had to take back that later thought, because in front of him there it was, a neatly put-together pile of stones covered in moss glistering like little emeralds in the sun. On top of the small wooden cross, barely held together by thin rope, wrapped around tightly like a snake pained brightly red; it shivered slightly as the raven wrapped its talons around. Waiting, patiently it looked past him as if he wasn’t even there, those same obsidian pair of eyes were now challenging the man behind him, head dropping low and beak opening to let out the same damned call. This place, it wasn’t for him to soil with his presence, it wasn’t there for him to mourn or let his tears fall to water the dry earth with the love they were born from. Lowering his head now too, for the respect and privacy that he wanted to give his companion here, the wolf stepped aside as he felt that he had fulfilled his part to bring back a missing piece that wandered off long ago.

You are worth every word of love. Worth every good deed, worth every smile, every tear of joy. You are worth the suns rays and the warm air, you are worth the happiness and the laughter. You are worth everything good and beautiful. Give everyone and anyone this message, go to random blogs, someone you don’t even know, stretch your ask limit, anon or not, tell them they are worth it. Because the world needs more love.
@motylheir // It's been ages since I replied an ask... but this, this is so sweet of you! I can only send to you, this exact message back! Thank you so much dears, this is just.....
