An Important Announcement

For everyone who still follows the AU, Lurid Leftovers is going to go under a slow revamp. Which means all the previous posts are no longer going to be canon. Fortunately, we got a new icon and revamped the blog a bit.

Also announcing that due to me being the co-director and writer for an upcoming Friday Night Funkin Mod, this blog may undergo either a hiatus, remake, or inconsistent scheduling. Don't worry though, I'm not abandoning the au and still have ideas on how to improve on it but it'll take a while. Thanks for understanding.

"Despite the infection, the cameras are in prestine condition, allowing us to see exactly what's going on in each part of the tower. My only consern is the thought of Peppino losing to a Pillar John. If he loses, we'll never be able to stop the Mutations variant from spreading to the whole world. I wish him the best of luck."

What's going on in the tower? Have you ran into the infected yet?

"I'm only on the first floor and I already found a few infected toons eating the toppins. So far they only seem to react when I try to attack. My best option is to avoid some of them during my time here."

This morning, my current subject went around and played with my toaster. Fortunately, it didn't seem to hurt itself while examining it. So, I thought I'd take a photo of it while it was distracted.

I also found something strange when I woke up this morning.

I don't know how it got here or who made it, but when I find out, I'll give them my thanks. For now, I'm gonna let the guy explore a bit before putting him to sleep.

I don't know how long I can keep doing this for. The nightmares are getting more real each time I fall asleep. She keeps taunting me, constantly telling me I failed. But I know she's alive somewhere. I just need to keep going. Keep searching. I can't stop until I find some progress on the cure. Please. Someone help me.

I got bad news....uuuuh 1, apparently there are more stages and the only way to prevent it is uh....yeah buddy, you might lose that arm. On the bright side, if ya get enough money from the shop after the infection is...well taken care of...you might get a cool robot arm or some type of new arm! Imagine an arm that has a pizza cutter and other pizza making tools in it! Heh heh...heh heh...just uh...trying to make a bright side but yeah that arm needs to come off....

"You sound a lot like that one customer who told me he had to cut his own tail off.....though I did actually try that in a fit of mad panic. Only to find that my arm was completely eaten. If I lost the arm now, it would just be a stub. Makes me have nightmares about what could happen if I reached the last 3 stages. Hopefully Phil is still in stage 2 when I encounter him."

Entry number #5

This infection is more horrifying than I originally thought. Today I managed to steal a body from a wolf that was killed by one of the infected tower residence. My plan was supposed to be simple: Dissect what remains and use whatever DNA was left behind by the infected.

But in that moment, I discovered that just because the patient dies-

the infection-

never dies with it.

Luck decided to be kind to me and only gave me a scar rather than the infection itself. Though I had to sacrifice the now infected corpse. To prevent this from ever happening again, I might have to take some.......alternative methods for obtaining patients.

"My grandpa's farm might be in danger. Some of the livestock have strange sores and odd behavior. At first, I reckoned it was Mad Cow Disease until I saw a cow with melting cheese on it's sores. Upon finding the bovine, I got rushed at and bitten. Thankfully, the nearest hospital wasn't that far from the farm. All I can do now is wait to see if they can treat me. May god help anyone who gets infected."
