My customised Venus!! I love her sm she’s my favorite doll.

Maybe I’ll take better pics later.

I gave her tattoos, piercings, a new hair-do.

Repainted her jewellery and painted her boots black.

I’ve also painted her nails!

I’ve trimmed her shorts and made them seem more washed out by soaking them in coffee lmao.

I didn’t touch her face at all (except for a little eyebrow piercing) She was already perfect.

Buried secrets Cleo wearing Chloe’s outfit. I braided her hair. She was already so pretty!

YAS managed to find her first try!!! So happy!! I wish she had articulation on her legs because she can barely stand lol.

But still such a pretty doll!! I’m going to paint her nails and bandages. I’ll show the result later :^)

A quick redesign of Corazon Marikit, the new Mattel Creations doll.

I think this doll has some strengths, like her detachable torso and the cool wings, but the colours need to be muted.

I was thinking that maybe she could have see through organs like the Reveal Your Inner Monster dolls!

Also I’d love for her to have a long tongue like the one from her story

I was inspired by Betty Page for her hair! Let me know what you think!! The Manananggal is one of my favorite cryptids 🦇

Cupid redesign ( G3 )

Okay sooo.

G3 cupid has a really nice blend of EAH and MH, and I love all the tiny details and curly hair.

What I’d change:

• The colour palette and oversaturated colours.

The cool pink clashes with the warm tone of her hair, and the random adds of teal are as pleasing to the eye as a punch in the face.

I believe red and pink can go together.

But not like this. You can’t have multiple tones of pink and other random colours and call it a day. Now, idk if the teal was a marketing choice? Like maybe kids are more drawn to bright colours but cmon.

Also the gold disturbs me. Either tone the saturation down a notch, or switch it with ivory.

��� Why does the dress have random holes on the sides? I don’t get the shape??

• I like the wings but I wish we got more skeletal-inspired details like in G1.

• I wish she was chubbier.

• I wish she had darker elements.

• I HATE HATE HATE the patterned dress!! It feels lazy!

What I do like:

• The silhouette.

• The rococo aesthetic.

• THE HAIR!!!!

• The shoes

• The anatomical heart earrings

To make her design, I was inspired by Emilie Autum’s aesthetic, to give her more of a dark aesthetic while still being cute and rococo inspired.

Finally washed my OG lagoona hair for the first time ever. She was my first MH doll and she’s missing all of her pieces except for her swimsuit. One of her arms is from another Lagoona, and she’s yellow from aging.

I think I’ll wash her hair again because it’s still sticky from all the glue.

Garden Mysteries Redesigns

Draculaura - The doll itself is cute, but as usual I’m not sold on the clothes.

I really dislike the printed on fabrics with patterns, but I still wanted to play with the whole rose motif while giving her a different silhouette and style.

She’s inspired by 90s slip dresses and whimsigothic aesthetic. I incorporated the bats on her og skirt by giving her bat wings sleeves. I really like the colour change in her hair, it’s pretty cool!

Venus - Venus core doll is my absolute favorite and I hate that they already gave up on her unique hair!! I only like the sleeves with the bug-like pattern on her og Garden Mysteries doll. She feels very bland, and all 3 dolls have the same silhouette… It’s a shame since the theme is so cool :-(

I decided to give her overalls since the dolls are garden - themed. Venus rocks out some spiked boots with pink highlights, and a cropped top with a nod to the movie Little Shop Of Horrors. She’s wearing fly earrings and a spiked choker.

Twyla - My least favorite doll. It’s a shame because I’m a huge Twyla fan and I think her design is one of the strongest ones in g3.

I couldn’t really figure the flower on her skirt, so I choose a viola.

I based her whole dress on viola flowers, but kept her little house handbag. I gave her teacup heels and a little laced black choker.

I also made her pig-tails more lolita-like.

I was inspired by V-kei and lolita fashion.
