the question is do you think RDJ has a stony fan blog here on tumblr? Do you think he secret stalks all of us and saves the edits to post them on his facebook? Do you think he sees tony hate on tumblr and fucking types a 12 page long reply in defence of tony? Do you think he’s following you and you don’t even know it? I need answers.

People think Tony would be a republican? That doesn’t sound right. After all, he is pro-environment, pro-science and anti-war. It’s impossible to be sure, but if I had to guess, I’d say Tony is a democrat. Also, I agree with your point. People need to chill and learn that you can dislike a character in a civil way. No need to turn him/her into a monster. 

I’m here to talk about Tony Stark.

Or, I’m going to talk about a topic and I’m going to use Tony Stark as the prime example.

I saw a post once, that talked about how ridiculous it was to defend Tony Stark, a white male character who has legions of fans. 

As a Tony Stark fan, I grit my teeth. But as a POC who has had many of her favourite non-white characters sidelined for characters like Tony Stark that I personally had no attachment to, I knew what the post really meant. 

Now, half a year later, I’m going to make a Tony Stark defense post. 

But, in an unprecedented move, this defense post is going to be directly linked to the fact that I’m a POC who happens to be a fan of Tony Stark.

I’m not actually here to argue about what Steve is a symbol of versus what Tony is a symbol of. I’m not American so any sort of discourse on how Steve is OBVIOUSLY the Democratic party and Tony is the Republican Party means little to me. 

What I’m here to talk about is the natural progression from disliking a character, or liking one character more than another. 

Which is apparently making the character you like less do horrible, evil acts to show how much better the character you like is.

Whatever. You do you, and I’ll watch bitterly from a distance in silence.

BUT when we enter the territory of making Tony say racist slurs, or just being flat out racist in fics, I want to just step in and say: Nope.

NOPE. No. Noooooo. NO.

Especially if you’re a white fan, but EVEN IF YOU’RE POC YOURSELF, don’t do that.

You can think Tony Stark is the symbol of the Republican party all you want, but Tony Stark isn’t General Hux or HYDRA - he’s not coded as a Nazi. He’s not even coded towards racist ideology. He’s a damn hero. And do you know what it means when someone’s a hero for however many years?

It means there are people who love them. Who look to them for inspiration.

INCLUDING POC FANS. 

You can dislike Tony Stark! You can dislike Steve Rogers! You can dislike Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Lala and Po - but I implore you, in your fantasies of how evil they are, keep racial prejudice out of it. Keep misogyny and homophobia out of it!

Because someone who loves Tinky Winky and thought about them that one time they were having it really tough can see that dumb post you made that had them calling Po a slur and it’s going to make them feel really shitty! Maybe more than shitty, honestly.

The movie satisfied my stony heart. The potential was totally there. God, civil war is much better than I expected it to be. Also, I didnt mind Wanda, but Clint was quite annoying. He was better in AOU

Possible CACW spoilers?

Saw Civil War! It was so good. The Staron is neglible, but the other ships are pretty strong. As a Stony shipper, I went in scared, but left happy. It was bitter sweet. I’m confused as to how they come together for Avengers Infinity, but a door was left open. Also, the trailers are so misleading. 

Things that made me super happy? Spiderman is awesome, the Rhodey/Tony friendship is amazing, as is the Steve/Bucky one. The movies really shows how close they are and how far they’d go for the other. They really are brothers

Bucky/Sam is something beautiful and Scott is hilarious. Zemo is a good, multi dimensional villiian,possible even a sympathetic one.Vision/Wanda is adorable! Like I said, the Stony will make shippers happy(they know each other soo well!), but the ending is sad/hopeful for us. And Panther is both kick ass and pretty wise. Also, family Avenger house/time is adorable

What I didn’t like? Mainly Clint and Wanda. I found them both quite hypocritical and wishy washy. Some characters are unrecognizable but times, but overall? I would definitely recommend this movie

Already watched the movie, but I know how you feel. I avoided tumblr, ao3 and twitter from the release until sunday. :p ---the movie is awesome!

How hard is it to put AoU spoilers under a “Read More” because the movie still hasn’t come out here yet and I’d like to be able to visit the Stony tag (or any other tag) without coming across several spoilers.

He was also the one who lost cowardly against Bayern and Borussia, fought with more than half the team and started the bad record against Atletico after more than a decade without defeats. Also, didnt Casillas played in the 100 points league? Mourinho didnt fail at Real because of Iker. He failed for his arrogance and cowardly tactics. Lets not be melodramatic. He just wasnt right for a team like Real Madrid.
