what i really loved about annette and richter's interactions this season as it pertained to their romantic development, was the emphasis on the fact that annette is considered precious to richter. he is so incredibly protective of her. and while it is absolutely established that annette is a badass all on her own (my girl was CUTTING UP!) i loved that she got a bit of damsel treatment too? i have been waiting for that kind of thing when it comes to black girl ships, especially when said black girl is dark skinned, for quite some time. like it felt like one of them writers was writing their story specifically for me.
