a transmasc person going "i hated being a woman, i don't understand why anyone would want to be a woman, and anyone who actively chooses to be a woman is making the wrong choice" is obviously in the wrong right. so why do we keep letting people get away with saying the reverse. just because masculinity was a prison for you doesn't mean it isn't freedom for others

Y'know, I would care a lot less about the memeification of male pregnancy if there wasn't such a massive overlap between people who memeify it and people who throw a massive tantrum when trans men and mascs ask for even the bare minimum of inclusion in reproductive rights.

im so tired of the way people on here act like transmisogyny is the only "real" form of transphobia. (obviously transmisogyny is real and terrible and more prevalent irl than other forms of transphobia. i'm talking about people who try to deny that any other forms of transphobia exist at all.) like i refuse to believe you guys actually think that as soon as a trans guy starts transitioning he has all the same privileges as a cis man. i refuse to believe you guys actually think trans men don't experience transphobia irl or don't get hate mail on the basis that they're trans men. i refuse to believe you guys actually think transmasculine transition is somehow way easier and it's not difficult at all to pass. i refuse to believe you guys actually think trans men somehow have privilege or power over trans women (or even cis women really), especially irl. like i really refuse to believe that you guys think trans men or nonbinary people just aren't oppressed at all, or that their invisibility is some sort of blessing. especially when you're contributing to that invisibility by telling them their oppression isn't real.

Saw some lady at the train station with a long flowing white skirt, walking a dog with a long flowing white fur, and they both were glowing equally in the contre-jour light of sunshine. Had to draw a rough sketch of them and then shittily shade it on my phone so I'll remember to try to draw them later.

Look, pal, when I say "fanfiction does not have the cultural reach to be able to change social perceptions of controversial topics"
what I mean is "if Game of Thrones could not manage to normalize incest, a handful of shipcest fics on AO3 with 50 kudos each sure aren't going to manage to normalize it!"
And you know that. In your heart you know it.

that's... not how it works. you can't guarantee that your work definitely won't squick anyone. what do you think you're saying?

Tumblr is the reason why I have something I call the cashier test which is, if i told this to a random cashier at the grocery store, would they think you're crazy at best or at worst would they be warranted in leaping over the counter and beating the shit out of you. Karl Marx mpreg is crazy, but not beating the shit out of you crazy. The cashier will probably talk about you to their coworkers and it might even make their day. Telling someone they're complicit in their own oppression by working a minimum wage job at a grocery store makes them warranted in leaping over the counter to beat the shit out of you.
