Neo was quick to notice when eyes were upon her; granted, she had taken to walking the streets of Spirale much more freely than she would do so in Remnant, so perhaps it was to be expected. Yet, a compliment to add to it all? How unexpected.
Still, she smirked, and gave a nod of thanks plus a tip of said-hat.Â
at the tip of the hat, the sylph couldnât help but give a nod in response. dumb reactions and whatnot. and yet she couldnât help but continue staring at the otherâs color scheme, golden orbs moving from woman to the ice cream in hand.  âa neapolitan color scheme, never knew it would look good on clothes. the more you know.â

âSorry to bother you, but could you possibly help me out!?â Calling out to a stranger, surely it was sketchy for a woman to call out randomly from a dark alley, particularly with her voice straining so much. But she was lifting up an extremely heavy garbage bin, one of those big ones that were usually stashed behind an apartment building.
âThis cat was trapped underneath and was mewing for help, but now that Iâve lifted the bin itâs too afraid to move. Can you grab it?â Tifa was strong, but lifting this bin for so long was becoming taxing.
the sylph peaked into the alleyway, cautious in movement but ears twitching as she tried to catch any other noise that may show this situation was dangerous. all she got, however, was the mewls of a cat and the person who called for help. that didnât seem bad in any way so lux headed in, not before giving the woman a second look because ... well, sheâs holding up a garbage bin. how??
nevermind that, sheâs focusing on the cat right now. who was definitely pressed against the wall ... it was safe to say the cat was a little scared of the woman really. making sure not to make any sudden movements, the sylph slowly moved forward, hands curling around the felineâs body.  âthere we go. how did it get stuck underneath it though??â

âŠâNow, letâs not speak of ourselves as normal or abnormal. The deeds we commit speak more to our characters than how society might define us.â It was easy to define oneself based on how they felt others felt about them, but sheâd learned that it was a mistake to think that way. âYes, the Zora. We are a people that make our homes near the water, but I suppose my fish-like appearance speaks to that. I am Princess Mipha, and you are?â
there was a soft smile, not yet agreeing nor disagreeing with the otherâs words. it was understood, that much was for certain.  âiâm lux. a fairy, or a sylph would do.ïżœïżœÂ Â introducing herself was instinctual, however, she caught herself blinking at the fact the zora was a princess.  â... should i refer to your as âyour highnessâ?â  it felt better to ask, really. there were some royals who wanted to be treated as normal people.

⊠âIâm surprised. Most have looked at my appearance and turned the other way, but instead you keep glancing at me, do you not?â The gaze of a pointed-eared woman had caught Miphaâs attention. Most seemed to want nothing to do with a Zora, a being which they couldnât fathom to recognize. So to find someone not particularly off put by her appearance? It was refreshing. Refreshing enough to provoke even the typically withdrawn Mipha to initiate the conversation.
âThough I suppose maybe youâre also wary of me? Iâd hope that werenât the case, we Zora are a gentle people.â As the late princess, she was perhaps the best example of that.
"i guess iâm not normal. besides, iâve seen stranger things before but youâre the first of your race that iâve seen.â  it was just pure curiosity that pushed her along nowadays. lately, she hasnât been participating in the events, which left her, really, nothing to do. a new change of pace was just whats she needed. besides, red skin really stood out in the crowd.  âa zora, huh?â  a ... shark person?

what a surprise. the day she decided to buy neopolitan ice cream from the store she and alice went to earlier, she would come across a person with those exact colors. she was very confused but ... taking this in stride. stranger things have happened before so this was fairly normal actually. upon noticing she had been caught staring, the sylph said something at random. âi like your hat?â // @hushedbladeâ

Everything would be the answer, yet it would be too subjective saying from personal matter. A smile slowly bloomed at sight of the concerned Sylph, an attempt to calm her down. â He will be alright, letâs put our faith in him the way he put his in us. â The way they know.
soft laughter left the sylph, knowing very well what alice was doing; placifying her own worry.  âkirito-sama will be fine, yes. from what i know, this him is ... letâs just say, heâs working through his journey that made him, him.â  or something like that. she wasnât quite sure if her words made sense.

The woman who approached her when she arrived at the store was very eager, and though Pearl could appreciate the enthusiasm, she was a little overwhelmed.
âI was looking for something nice to wear.â
âSomeone important to me invited me out, and I was thinking of surprising her with an outfit that you humans would describe as sharp enough to kill.â She said not realizing that the suit she owned already fit the description.
there was mild confusion in golden eyes at the description, gaze dropping to the suit the other was wearing. she wanted something more then what she already had? was that even possible? the sylph gave a thoughtful hum, a finger tapping against her chin in thought. something more.  âw-well, your suit already matches that description, really but if you want something more ... could i ask what the occasion is? as in ... a casual date or something formal?â

« Radiale, huh? » an inquisitive look cast upon his face, spying the device in question; convenient for those whose alternatives stood out from their normal selves, but after SAOâs dispell of customization, there was little it could offer. a change of clothes and what limited materials he had retained in the transfer. « so itâs safe to assume this is either something like full dive or the rules in this world arenât anything like ours, making it possible to shapeshift with the right equipment. if it wasnât for how creepy it feels, itâd be fascinating. »
with the explanation of the app done, she was quick to go back to her sylph avatar, having gotten used to it after all this time. that and she didnât like feeling weak. âiâd say itâs the rules of the world but i still havenât understood whatâs going on really. i just ... let things go as they please. itâs better not to question the âgodsâ ... or scientists or whatever they call themselves.â

đčâ Itâs⊠so bizarre. Feels just like swimming but⊠lighter. â A memory came to her head, one where her father quickly lifts her up, off the ground and into the air, that feeling of the breeze gently caressing your body as it defies gravity. It felt just like that, yet there was noone there making the effort to carry her weight. She wasnât even properly flying yet and it already felt magical.Â
Her arms extended outwards once again as she focused and her feet distanced themselves from the ground even more, a trail of dust-like particles revealing her bodyâs trajectory as she went upwards. The more she took off, the more unstoppable these feelings became and her expression couldnât hide an inch of it. A geniunely childish smile adorned her coutenance as she looked beneath.Â
â Eep! â A squeal got out of her system as she lost balance for a brief moment, promptly recovering it with the help of both her superior extremities. â Wh-Whoa. â
swimming but lighter. that sounded pretty accurate if she had to say. flying always felt light, gravity didnât seem to work while you were in the air. it was one of the mains reasons why she chose to play alo after sao, that freedom. freedom that the death game didnât have. but those were bad thoughts so sheâs just going to push those aside for the time being.
the higher haru went, lux would follow. she knew what the new fae was feeling right now, the exhilaration and glee. and also the want to do more. the squeal made her laugh, floating up to carefully stabilize the other.  âcareful there. letâs try not to rocket ourselves to the sky or ... straight back to the ground.â

The thought of mixing the two together was there, but she brushed them as fast as it appears. Should the one who thinks of it was Kirito, he might actually have done the deeds before she could shrug them off. Letâs not waste a good meal just because of sheer curiosity. â Mhm, and probably invite Leafa and the rest too. Days ago I encountered Kirito, have you? â The desire to add but he doesnât recognize me was there, but alas it was none of the Sylphâs concern. Better to leave some details in the dark.
"kirito-sama? ah, yes. i did ... did you notice ... anything off with him?â  she was curious which kitito, alice knew. and how she reacted to the sword art online him, somewhere mid-game. where ... hope wasnât truly found yet.

Seeing the glitters beamed in the Sylphâs eyes, thereâs a little sense of victory in her heart ( sheâs a fighter, canât help the unimportant competition made by mental will alone ). Without further ado, she accepted Luxâs offer. Nimble fingers would brush the side of her golden lock behind her ear so it wonât get in the way before leaning down to lick the seasalt ice cream.Â
â !? W-what is this!? What kind of taste is this!? Unbelievableâ ! â Apparently the victor can be decided!Â
"right? iâve heard that sea-salt was a great flavor so i had to try it out.â  no regrets whatsoever. it was up there with her other favorite flavors, which were many if she had to be honest. she thought for a moment, to just give alice her treat before deciding against it. that would leave her without any.  âwe can share it then. and also tick off these flavors for the next time we go.â  because of course, they would be returning. there were other flavors to try.

đč An amiable chuckle got out of her as she heard about the apparent confusion on Luxâs race. â I can see why. â  Honestly, if she wasnât made aware of that fact, she might have been a victim of that misunderstanding too, given luxâs height and very long ears. Actually, she couldnât say a thing about those long ears, right now. Beneath all this anxiety and excitement for flying, there was a profound need to just see her reflection.Â
Eyes seemed to widen curiously as she heard the other⊠it was just about visualizing? Mmm, it made sense. If anything, flying should be intuitive, natural. â Okay! Iâll give it a try â Haru clasped her hands as her eyes shut. Focusing on trying to get that image as clear as possible. In some moment amidst those seconds, as she immersed herself in her head, her feet stopped touched the ground as the wings behind her started fluttering in rhythm.Â
That brief trance lasted way less than expected as she noticed a slight current of air flowing on her bare soles. No way she was going to hide it, the heiress got startled as soon as she stared at the ground beneath her, quickly extending her arms as if she was about to lose balance or something. They slowly returned to her sides as she got used to it, it felt like floating in water. Â
normally, when one focused, it was best to get into a position you were most comfortable with, something that allowed freedom of movement. but that was her own experience, haru could feel differently. and, judging by what she was seeing, it was working. wings were starting to move, to flutter and lift the girl up. she was rather grateful that haru wasnât the type to throw herself into things without hesitation because she wasnât all that ready to chase after a free-flying faekin.
her own wings formed, the sylph carefully watching before moving to steady haru who noticed her own actions.  âoh, careful.â  the slight change in altitude may take some time getting used to so she was going to keep her hands out, just in case.  âthere we go. so, howâs ... floating?â

This would be the closest to questing that sheâll get in this world. She looked at the large building in front of her and sighed. Nature already looked like it was starting to claim the building for itself with ivy clinging to the bricks and various other plants hiding in the crevices. Asuna recognized the beauty of it, but the thoughts of what kind of things might be living inside made her nervous. She was invited to explore it by the fluffy-haired girl standing next to her and had agreed with a goal of growing closer to her in mind.Â
âAre you sure this the right place?â She asked, her hand resting on hilt of her rapier.Â
"this should be it, yes.â  she was ... nervous, to say the least. the fact that she had invited asuna, someone sheâs never properly talked to but also idolized during her days in sao, it was up there alongside actually speaking with kirito. feeling nervous was an understatement but she was willing to push that aside to continue exploring the ruins.
"my thanks for actually accepting this. it was probably out of the blue, really.â  it should have been a surprise. after all, from her understanding, the flash had only arrived on the island recently.

âAhaha⊠yeahâŠâ She likewise didnât have any idea how theyâd deal with it. If it lasted more than a couple of days it might get kind of tough. âThough I know my sizes, we can always buy and if it turns out the sizes are wrong later we can take them back. I donât want to keep borrowing your clothes if I can help it.â
At Leafa â no, Luxâs! â designation, Leafa began to lower the two of them down to the city that wasnât too far below, ultimately landing in a small park where there was lots of room. Sheâd had some bad landing accidents in ALO she didnât want to talk about.
âThank you for riding the Lux Express.â She remarked as she slid her companion out of her arms. âWe will now be traveling by foot to⊠Did you want to go somewhere specific?â
â... i guess i should head to work to find some clothes. maybe. a last resort.â  she was still iffy when it came to friends visiting unexpectedly. sheâs already had one too many heart attacks and she would not like anymore thank you very much. in any case, iori should understand if she were to explain things ... not that she had to, if he was affected by this event.
âwhat do i have to pay for the lux express?â  only a jest. one that was followed by hooking her arm around one of leafaâs, just to keep her close.  "well, i know whatâs around here so ... your choice? sightseeing first before buying things is always an idea!â

Suguha wasn't sure when she'd see Hiyori next, but she left a present out for her on her counter either way. Nestled within was a copy of the Ring of Angel's Whisper that Lux wore. A note was attached. "Merry Christmas! This was you can wear one when you're not in your avatar too! I got one as well, so our bonds can be strong no matter what! Love, Suguha!"
she had not been expecting any christmas gifts this year. mostly because the friends she had last had either returned home or were ⊠rather quiet this time around. it was safe to say, she had forgotten she had familiar faces now. so, color her surprised when, returning home from work, she came across what looked to be a gift on the counter. only one person could be responsible for this.
lips were curled into a smile at the gift itself before turning to the note.  âso our bonds can be strong no matter whatâŠâ  she did miss the feel of the ring in her actual body so ⊠this was a wonderful gift. sheâd have to remember to hug the girl when she got the chance to. or she could go searching, that was also an idea.
