damn people rly hate type 2 diabetics don't they
#no 'bad thing' that a human can do to itself including addiction and stuff like this should be viewed without the investigative lens of#criticizing capitalism; as would be the case with anything that makes all people who are suffering from it victims#drugs and fast food provide temporary relief in world that is actively hostile to all who are poor and disabled

u ever think about how some mental health disorders literally have criminal activity as a criteria…like not even pretending just straight up “if you don’t follow the laws of the state you’re insane” hmmm wonder why that might be
#it starts with things like 'oppositional defiant disorder' where they make questioning authority as a child a diagnosable condition#and ends up at 'feels the urge for promiscuous sexual behavior' and 'engages in illegal activities' as the symptoms for adult mood disorders

spontaneous protest erupts out of popular discontent > people react to police brutality > protestors and media alike push the ‘peaceful’ narrative as an appeal to authority > lacking any organized way to escalate, protestors are atomized and alienated > protest fizzles out > repeat process

Sometimes people use “respect” to mean “treating someone like a person” and sometimes they use “respect” to mean “treating someone like an authority”
and sometimes people who are used to being treated like an authority say “if you won’t respect me I won’t respect you” and they mean “if you won’t treat me like an authority I won’t treat you like a person”
and they think they’re being fair but they aren’t, and it’s not okay.
#oh I've been saying this since I was a kid and ppl of authority fucking *hated* me for saying this#it would undermine their authority and the image the maintain of calm elegant intellectualism#when the disabled 13 year old child would say this to them#yeah buddy I was forced to grow up fast AF due to the trauma of being disabled from a very young age#my childhood was forcibly taken from me and I ain't here to just sit around while you talk down to my special ed classmates
