the desperate need for the rest of the trans community to act like transmisogyny is some newfangled thing is so pathetic. this is not some frivolous internet trend that only girls care about. whipping girl is old enough to vote. michfest banned only trans women in 1991 and the rest of the queer community sure didn’t feel bad about still going. the nascent gay rights movement let TERFs kick marsha p johnson and silvia rivera out of the pride parade in 1973 for being “female impersonators”. you cannot keep acting like this is meaningless discourse for discourse’s sake being invented by early-transition teenagers on tumblr. “talk to a queer person over 35” shush! i’m a trans woman over 35. half of my friends are trans women over 35 (or do we not count for some reason? hmm…). it is YOUR self-righteous ass who needs to be listening to US before you try to tell us what our own fucking lives are like.

if you follow me, you already know my friend @ahmedaldaniii. Ahmed is a sweet, kind teenager currently facing horrifying conditions in occupied Gaza. it's hard to find words to describe what he's going through.

food, water, medicine, and shelter are all daily struggles. everything is both scarce and expensive. Israel has also targeted water infrastructure, leaving Gazans only with water that's distant, impossible to purify, and makes people sick. it's an impossible situation, and its beyond heartbreaking for such a young person to be faced with death every day.

the occupation is now threatening all residents of northern Gaza with displacement towards the south, and bombing has gotten more intense and dangerously close. its terrifying.

HRT doesnt make you immediately pass, but that's actually nice because you can start it before even coming out. The effects on your body make daily life so much easier, you feel more at home in your own skin. Even if I dont pass my body, sexuality, and sense of self have changed for the better.
