"Put Your Mask On, First"
For the last 6 days or so, i've been spending my Mornings and Evenings in New York City. After almost an entire year without coming back, i spent this past week in New York City. I haven't been back to New York since i left on Tour with The Hood Chef and the boys on our second (annually?) edition of the "Hood Chef Food Tour". I can't really recall the last day i left the city, but i know what i was doing and where i was. On a bus, heading towards Philly, listening to music and going back and forth with Brooklyn T via text.
Almost a year later, tonight i'm spending my evening in California. I came to LA for the first time in November 13'. Not only because of the weather, but the woman, the lifestyle and spacious freedom are all reasons why i fell in love with the Los Angeles. Tonight, will be the beginning of something that will hopefully change the course of not only my career, but my life. I left my family and friends to better myself and put myself in a better situation. (Remember that saying they say in flights across almost every airport in america? Well for me at least, that also applies to one's life and career.)
I'm excited for what's to come, i feel really optimistic. With one day at a time, patience, discipline and consistency, i know i will find my balance. A lot of people come here and other parts of the world for various reasons, change, fear, opportunity, but while others relocate, that small 1% like myself are up late crafting the plan that will bring them that much closer to their dreams. Either way, however way, i won't be the first nor the last one.
