I saw a comment the other day that being able to name Tidus (to whatever you want to or keep his name as "Tidus") isn't just a relic of past Final Fantasy games, where you were able to name the characters, but actually foreshadowing: because the only other characters you can name in FFX are the aeons, that are, of course, created by the fayth. And who else is created by the fayth? Tidus.

Damn.

I definitely haven't forgotten that comment since seeing it.
