Interview
1. What is your name?
“Lymanthel Thunderoak.”
2. What is your real name?
“I just told you.”
3. Do you know why you were called that?
“I am not sure, though I imagine my name has something to do with the place where I was born. And, perhaps, greatness and power.”
4. Are you single or taken?
"Single, I suppose.”
5. Have any abilities or powers?
“Many. I am a Druid of the Claw, blessed under the sign of the Twin Bears. Extrapolate from there.”
6. Stop being a Mary Sue.
”What?” 7. What’s your eye color?
“Amber.”
8. How about your hair color?
“Green like the color of springtime grass.”
9. Have you any family members?
"Yes.”
10. Oh? What about pets?
"No, I have no pets. I consider myself connected with every animal I come across, but I do not lay claim to any of them.”
11. That’s cool I guess, now tell me about something you don’t like.
“Those who disrupt the natural way of things.”
12. Do you have any hobbies/activities you like doing?
“Hmm...wandering, training, meditating, gardening, and perhaps the occasional hunt. Oh, and knitting, though I am still an amateur in that craft.”
13. Ever hurt anyone before?
“Of course.”
14. Ever… killed anyone before?
”After thousands and thousands of years of living, it is very difficult to go without killing anyone.”
15. What kind of animal are you?
“A bear at an almost literal sense. The form of the bear, granted to me by Ursoc and Ursol, is the form I know at the most intimate level.”
16. Name your worst habits.
“I am perhaps a bit...disconnected from modern society. After spending thousands of years in the Dream, coming back to humans in cities of stone and marauding creatures called ‘orcs’ was quite a shock. I have since tried to understand the changes that took place in my absence, but this has been a difficult process.”
17. Do you look up to anyone at all?
"Not anymore. There was a time when my mother and father were sources of strength for me, and for thousands of years I thought very highly of Shan’do Stormrage during our time in the Dream. Now, however, my parents are gone and Stormrage has...changed. For the worse.”
18. Gay, straight, or bisexual?
“I do not concern myself with something as trivial as anatomy. Attraction is not based on such things for me.”
19. Do you go to school?
"Not particularly, though I strive to teach myself something new as frequently as possible.”
20. Do you ever want to marry and have kids one day?
“I do not intend to marry, no, but perhaps I would consider the possibility of children at some point. However, at my age, I do not know if I could even conceive children.”
21. Do you have any fanboys/fangirls?
"What?”
22. What are you most afraid of?
“The destruction of the Emerald Dream and all life on Azeroth.”
23. What do you usually wear?
“Furs, leather, and cloth.”
24. Do you love someone?
“No.”
25. When was the last time you wet yourself?
"What? You are asking very many questions I do not know the meaning of.”
26. Well, it’s not over yet!
"It seems not to be.”
27. What class are you? (High class, middle class, low class)
"I do not know. I have never thought about categorizing myself into a social class; I have no need of such ideals.”
28. How many friends do you have?
"Not many, but that is how I like it.”
29. What are your thoughts on pie?
"It depends on what type of pie you are talking about.”
30. Favorite drink?
"Hmm...herbal tea or water, I suppose.”
31. What’s your favorite place?
“Favorite place? I do not have one in particular. I suppose any place with forests and abundant greenery is a place I would enjoy.”
32. Are you interested in someone?
"No, not at the moment.”
33. What’s your bra cup size and/or how big is your willy?
“Irrelevant.”
34. Would you rather swim in the lake or the ocean?
"The lake. I do not enjoy the idea of being in a space where there is a seemingly endless expanse stretching out in every direction.”
35. What’s your type?
“Any who are not bound by a set routine and locked in place inside of a city. Race, gender, wealth, and talent do not matter to me; I only wish to be with those who are free and connected, by some degree, to the natural world.”
36. Any fetishes?
“I suppose so, yes.”
37. Seme or uke? Top or Bottom? Dominant or Submissive?
“Again, I do not label myself with such words. I am what the situation calls for me to be.”
38. Camping or indoors?
"Camping.”
39. Are you wanting the interview to end?
“At this point, yes.”
40. Now it’s over!
“Good.”

Rage
Tumblr media
Rage -- it was an emotion Lymanthel Thunderoak understood well. Any druid who wishes to pursue the way of the Claw must learn to understand rage. For those who take the path of the Twin Bears, this fact holds even truer.
Rage, Ly knew, was a tool, as are all emotions. However, rage is a tool that commands great respect and control -- more so than its counterparts. Rage unbound is what causes mistakes, and mistakes are what cause death.
Lymanthel meditated on the nature of rage for thousands of years inside the Emerald Dream, better learning to master the use of the emotion and what feeling it entailed. He achieved near mastery of the subject through relentless contemplation, placing him among the most level-headed of thinkers that also were able to weaponize rage in the form of a great bear.
In the years since Lymanthel emerged from the Dream with Malfurion and the majority of the other druids, there was very little that made him question, or even think to question, his control over rage. The Emerald Dream is a place far more peaceful than the reality of Azeroth, so there were bound to be a few instances that tested Ly’s mettle -- even if they were few and far between.
Now was one of those instances.
For over a week now, Lymanthel had been in Kalimdor fighting back against the unexpected Horde invasion of his native homeland. The old druid departed for Ashenvale as soon as he heard the news, and since that moment he fought alongside his kaldorei brothers and sisters in an effort to repel the Horde invaders.
Their best efforts, unfortunately, had not been enough.
Try as they might, the elves were unable to rout the Horde as its savage forces ransacked Ashenvale and pushed deep into Darkshore. Lymanthel personally killed at least a hundred soldiers, but to no avail; when one fell, two more took its place. Despite this harrowing fact, Ly never stopped trying. He would die before that happened.
Not even when Teldrassil was set aflame did Lymanthel stop fighting. All around him, the ancient elf saw shock, horror, and despair on the faces of his kinsfolk. He, too, was deeply disturbed by the vile act, but not on a level that they were. Teldrassil had never been his home; he was too ancient for that to be the case.
With that in mind, though, Lymanthel knew that there were hundreds if not thousands of innocent lives that perished in the fires of the World Tree, the vast majority of them kaldorei. His people, a people that were dwindling more and more rapidly day by day. This...genocide, Ly realized, made the future of his species a greater uncertainty than ever before.
That realization was what brought his rage to a new level. He would be damned if one person was going to bring the legacy of the kaldorei to a close. To ensure that this did not transpire, Ly knew that he would have to keep fighting until Sylvanas Windrunner’s head rested firmly on the end of a pike.
Rage -- the rage of not only the kaldorei but the Alliance and, soon, the rest of Azeroth -- was going to be what brought about this end goal. That was, of course, as long as it remained controlled, weaponized. Lymanthel hoped those fighting this war understood that.
Rage, even if dangerous, would bring justice.
