I wasn't that happy with Naava's design, he was too... Clean to be this scary ghoul (man? Anyway) of forests. So, I took upon myself to make him more dilf. Dilficate him, if you will. And I got suggestion to change his hair color, which looks good, I'd say.

I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

Eh, doesn't matter, I can do it later...

Anyway, a small fic of how my OC's Arvak and Villa just love their newborn kit and each other, very wholesome, just mind the content warnings.

“Look at her… She's perfect…”

Arvak, still achy and definitely tired, answers with a silent hum. The dimly lit living space he now shares with three people reeks of sweat, fluids and blood, to a point he wants to just cringe.

But, it is worth it. The small bundle in Villa’s arms was worth getting poked and touched and having more people than he was comfortable within his presence, while he worked to bring that little cuteness into the world.

His daughter. His and Villa’s kit.

Exhausted ghoul's hand reaches to a small kit his mate is holding, rewarding a small mewl from the tiny thing. The girl’s hair is as curly as her mother’s, and as soft as well. Tiny nose sniffs around, and she is too exhausted to open her eyes. Being born isn’t an easy task, Arvak has just learned that. Being the helper in that conquest wasn't easy, and Arvak was sure he would die from the pain.

But she’s here now. His and Villa’s kit… their daughter.

Villa smiles at her mate, and pets the sweaty long hair her beloved has. She's so proud. Knowing Arvak, it could have been more difficult. In a sense that he wouldn't have wanted anyone to touch or help him give birth. 

“I’m so proud of you,” the ghoulette whispers and places the kiss on the same lips she has explored multiple times. She smiles even more, when she hears a gentle purr from Arvak's throat.

“Do you want to hold her?”

To that question, Arvak doesn't think twice. Even when the little kit was born, they immediately raised her on his chest. 

But Arvak just can’t deny the possibility of holding her. He vows to be better than his own birth parent, in every possible aspect.

Villa gently places her and her mate’s kit, hopefully first of many, on his chest and gives the tiny nose a kiss. And the kit answers with a deep yawn.

So cute…

Arvak wraps his arms around the kit and snuggles his chin carefully against the hair he loves in his mate. Soft purr erupts from his throat, as he takes in the warmth and small movements of a life he had carried inside him for what feels like a small eternity.

His little miracle. There. On his chest. Doing what a newborn kit is supposed to do.

“Beautiful like her daddy,” Villa smiles and tilts her head, making Arvak smile too. He never can help it in front of his beautiful mate, so cheerful and happy. Apple of his eye.

“She still needs a name, cotton,” Arvak answers, using a nickname he associates with Villa’s hair. Something simple and describing the person, as his nicknames tend to be.

If only actual names were that easy. The couple has been stuck on the name ever since they found out that Arvak was expecting. And getting near to this didn't help it. And it definitely wasn't on either of their minds during labor and delivery…

So, the perfect little girl still lacks a name.

“Ruby?”

“A bit too fancy…,” Villa sighs, before she has an idea.

“Petal?”

Arvak shakes his head to this. A bit too feminine, like his own death name. He doesn't want to give his daughter that kind of burden.

“...Leaf?” ghoulette carefully throws into the air. “She's cute, like a fresh leaf in the spring.”

Arvak tastes the name in his mouth as he silently repeats it. And it’s not like his mate is wrong, their daughter is adorable.

Arvak pets the small fingers that soon grab his, and their equally as small owner lets another yawn. Rewarding a small, happy smile from a fresh father.

“Yes. Leaf is good.”
