Hello lynx posting nation!! I just wanted to re-itterate your more than welcome to submit lynx related stuff to me for me to repost/post, I'll even add credit if requested of course :] this includes art, questions, facts, videos, ect ect!!

"Stray cat breaks into lynx inclosure." Cute!... but this is wrong! (Don't worry, the truth is still very much wholesome and cute!!)

This has always bugged me, seeing this story constantly going around when it's wrong! Not that it's tooooo far from the truth, but it leaves out important context!

Linda the lynx (left...obviously) was born in the liningrad zoo, and at rooouuughly 4-ish months old the zookeepers decided to introduce a domestic cat they named Dusya(right...obviously as well X]) into the same inclosure, both as a way to give Linda a buddy and to show zoo-goers the differences between a typical lynx and a typical domestic house cat!

They bonded extremely well and were shown to have a very tight, loving kinship with one another including playing, rubbing close together, and even grooming each other! Out of the duo, Dusya showed to be the more parental figure and would often reject forms of typical domestic cat behavior (such as rejecting pets from any humans)- they both adopted traits from each other which is extremely fascinating!

Sadly, however, dear Dusya passed away in 2020, heartbreaking for me to hear, but I contacted the zoo themself (with a very rough Russian translation as all I know is English X[) and they've stated that there's now another lynx in the same enclosure with Linda- Nellie! I don't have any photos of Nellie, however, the person I was corresponding with was very generous enough to send some additional photos of Linda and Dusya for me!

Also, before we get onto the photos lemme give my sources so yall know I'm not pulling this out of nowhere ;]

I tried to mainly include not as circulated photos, because come ONNNN look at those babies they are SO CUTE!!!!and Dusya deserves just as much attention too,!

Now, personally, I wasn't a fan of the first Zootopia BUT...

There is lynx in zooptia 2, specifically a Canadian lynx !!!! If you know me, you know canadian lynxes are my FAVORITE animal of all time, so although I'm not excited about the movie itself persay I am a HUGE fan of this character already.
