PKMN x CCS Clear Card - Aqua (Lugia)

This is the one I’m most proud of so far, especially with the water effects 💦✨

Lugia’s typing was always weird to me, since they’re so associated with water (making it rain to put out the fires, hung out at the bottom of the ocean, found in a watery cave, etc). At least there’s Tera forms (the Water crown is one of my favorites - I love how the main crown is a water droplet splash 💧)

The capture for the Aqua card was so cool, too - massive rainfall, the mysterious moving raindrops, Sakura’s cute froggy raincoat (in the Pokéverse’s version, definitely Politoad >u<) & the appearance of Aqua above the King Penguin Empoleon slide. Too cool! \>7</

I had a huge falling-out with a (former) friend of mine, and he ended up getting his hands on a Fire Stone and exposed my Vulpix to it! Neither of us were ready for evolution, so I was freaking out, but it just.. didn't trigger. She's still a Vulpix. I don't know if it was a fake or if she somehow resisted it? Have you ever heard of this before??

i'm so sorry that happened to you. forcing an evolution on another person's pokemon is legally considered assault on a pokemon in many regions. i would make a report to your local law enforcement about that.

the usual methods for stopping a pokemon's evolution don't work with evolutionary stones, so almost certainly one of two things is happening. either your vulpix has a severe hormonal disorder (unlikely, as these tend to cause noticeable complications), or the stone is fake/poor quality. there's been a huge uptick in fake evolutionary stone sales with the rise of online markets. it's not hard to grow crystals that look similar to an evolutionary stone if you know what you're doing. oftentimes these scammers will break up an authentic evolution stone and then grow artificial stone around it.

don't even get me started on the feraliexpress evolution stone trend from a couple years back.
