As stacking the numbers, only two elements can be stacked in one "square" like 100 has the 1 on the top half of the square and 0 on the bottom, and the next zero to make 100 is now on the next square

The coins are made of copper, iron, silver then gold, each embedded with the numbers corresponding to their value
