The lyrics “I see right through me, I see right through me” and “i wake in the night, I pace like a ghost, the room is on fire, invisible smoke” are the most heart-wrenching because as someone who has always struggled with imposter syndrome and anxiety but kept it from the world, I feel those words so profusely. I listen to them and it’s so profound that she was able to articulate that type of intangible pain. It’s more than not feeling good enough for others, it’s about feeling good enough for yourself. This song feels like she’s holding my hand and walking me through the flames and ugh it’s just so powerful. I’m so goddamn proud of her for this.

Dear Taylor,

when I had the idea for this project, right after you had uploaded that heartbreaking post on Tumblr, I wanted this caption to be about how sorry we all are and how horrible this situation is - which is still true - but now I wanna focus on something else instead.

I was hesitant to actually start this project because I thought no one would be willing to participate. I thought my account was just "too small" to make something like this work. But I was proven wrong. Not only did 32 people reach out to me to be a part of this, they also showed me a ton of love. I didn't expect this but it made me incredibly happy. And that is all because of you. If it wasn't for you, this wonderful community wouldn't exist. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have experienced so much love and happiness over the last couple of days and - let's be real - over the whole time I've been a part of this fandom. I am so grateful for you and everything you've done and are still doing for us. And I know I am not alone in this. And today we wanna give back some of that love and happiness because you deserve it so much. Don't let the negativity get you down!

On my 6hr plane flight I put together a little catalog of lyrics you’ve written. Lyrics which comforted me (and made me sad because they aren’t yours) but I also was thinking it’d be a good thing for you to just glance over them and see the sheer amount of power you have in one fingertip.
