remembering that ghoul marriage in tg is just a scarred bite mark is so funny like by that logic you could just . . . . . . . . accidentally breach that sanctitude of tradition by getting too enthusiastic about a hickey

tokyo ghoul, more like tokyo fool haha anyway consider the way that kaneki was so strongly drawn to rize, someone whose design &. characterization was something pointedly feminine and elegant, something mature about her presentation and demeanor. and then :re happens and reintroduces touka now in a completely polar opposite fashion to how she was in the first entry, her maturity &. femininity this go around is like . . . super duper highlighted. and haise’s drawn to this. and she herself comments on the way it was the same, the way he’d once looked at rize is the way he’d started looking at touka. consider the way arima examined haise for who he was down to the very core of himself and the way he pretty accurately deduced that haise had a very strongly rooted yearning for a maternal figure &. assigned akira for the slot on the basis that she was an accomplished female associate who could most effectively serve as his mentor. consider how many characters in this series tend to unhealthily associate and merge one thing onto another, and the way all aforementioned female characters physically hurt haise / kaneki in varying capacities at one point or another. are you picking up what i’m putting down

Q. do you survive the narrative ? A. 𝐧𝐨, 𝐧𝐨 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐝. you were all doomed from the beginning , but by god 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚓𝚘𝚞𝚛𝚗𝚎𝚢 𝚠𝚊𝚜 𝚋𝚎𝚊𝚞𝚝𝚒𝚏𝚞𝚕 wasn't it ? the friends you made, the songs you sang all screamed one thing : I LIVED. who else can say that ?

he’s a ten but he’s only a sub - consciousness temporarily housed in another man’s body like a pc screensaver where the cube bounces around and maybe every once in a while hits the corner juuuuuust perfectly, and he only exists for about 50 chapters out of 320 and he cries at least three separate times within that tiny lifespan

something something, the whole vibe, the entire aesthetic in haise being the designated dorm mom with his awful dorky dad jokes and his huge book collection and his big round reading glasses, but then he's this SS ranked flesh-eating monster with a kill count. soft core, but he leaves his shoes at the door bc they're caked with blood
