bea1a)  List 4 artists who have been sued for copyright infringement.
Ed Sheeran
Justin Beiber
Robin Thicke
Jay Z
b) Do you feel these 4 artist broke copyright law based on the readings? Explain.
Ed Sheeran - Song Photograph had similarities to Matt Cardle song called amazing, the lawsuit said "The chorus sections of Amazing and the infringing Photograph share 39 identical notes”
Justin Bieber - Song sorry because instead of contacting artist Casey Dienel to license her song Ring the bell he was accused of stealing it when sampling it.
Robin Thicke - Song Blurred Lines, is almost identical to Marvin Gaye’s Got to give up. and Robin Thicke Lost the court case.
Jay Z - Song big pimpin’ was sued by Egyptian artists nephew Osama Fahmy who claimed jay z sampled his uncles song Khosara Khosara without permission.
2. Artist Richard Prince accesses people’s Instagram photos and sells them as his own works. Do you agree or disagree that the public has a right to copyright protection on social media? Why?
I agree that the public has the right to copyright protection on social media, because people don’t post pictures for other people to steal them, its morally wrong to be doing that.
3.How much of an artwork has to be altered before it’s considered a new work of art? Explain your reasoning.
An artwork should be altered to a point that there somewhat similarities but the similarities are not noticeable when the two artwork are side by side.
4. Fast fashion stores like Target and Zara turn out new cheap fashions on store floors every 20 days. Should their designers be held accountable for stealing design ideas from artists and selling them as their own? Explain your answer. Offer examples from the readings.
Yes Zara’s fashion designers should be held accountable for stealing ideas and selling them as there own because  they are stealing work w/o giving the actual artist any credit.

Before v After- Portrait Skill Building Activity.
To edit this photo i used the liquify tool, around the jaw, lip and nose. I also used the doge tool under his eyes, and the burn tool in his cheek bone as highlight and contour. i used the healing tool on majority of his freckles and acne scars .  i used the eye brightening tool to bring out the whites in his eyes, and lastly i used colour balance to get rid of the orangey look in the picture
