No one talks about us anymore, and the news doesn't mention us. All that is being discussed is Iran, Israel, and America.It's as if they forgot that the main problem is Gaza.

As of this time Hoffman and his wife are out of surgery and alive.

i need people to get it through their heads that bisexuals do not actually benefit from hetrosexual patriarchy because no queer or trans person can benefit from hetrosexual patriarchy. i need people to understand that the claim that "bisexuals can live straight lives" is a statement that is technically true of any queer or trans person. a gay man "can live" in a lavender marriage, as can a lesbian. any gay person can, if they choose, live in the closet or live a "straight" life. someone very close to me is a closeted trans man, and he has chosen never to come out for personal reasons. he will live his life as a woman until he dies because he "can". the argument that because bisexuals can experience attraction to the opposite gender then they don't meaningfully experience homophobia is crazy. it's like saying that monogamous people would all be super into arranged marriages. i could point to the many examples in history where gay men and women, and trans people have spoken fondly of the time they "lived as" a straight or cis person. if someone made the argument that because a gay man, lesbian or trans person experienced some degree of Not Shitness while they were closeted/not out then that means they have some form of privilege? you'd immediately clock that as homophobia/transphobia!!! yet people think this is an okay thing to say to bisexuals. it is EXHAUSTING, especially as someone who has experienced homophobic harassment as a bisexual, to hear people falling for the psyop of "bisexual privilege". it's not real!! you're just assuming all bisexuals would be happy in the closet!!! you're assuming all bisexuals are cis!!! you're assuming bisexuality is privileged the same as heterosexuality when there's decades upon decades of data and testimony that prove otherwise. all people are doing when they engage in "bisexual privilege" rhetoric is rebranding the VERY old religious homophobic notion of: if you never act on it, you won't be damned to hell! it also very much gives "don't ask don't tell" rhetoric, which again, is just homophobia!!!! simply being bisexual does not give anyone privilege. i can't tell my homophobic family members i'm bisexual and they'll be fine with it. i don't flash a bisexual card and magically get less harassed. my friend who converted to evangelicalism didn't decide that because i was bi she wouldn't cut me off like all her other gay friends. i am cut off, i am harrassed and i deal with homophobia from people almost every day - as do all bisexuals. stop telling bisexuals, they have some kind of advantage because they can enter into "straight" partnerships as if a) that isn't true of literally anyone and b) as if being in a "straight" partnership is automatically empowering and safe and a privilege at all. maybe instead of equating bisexuals to straight people because you know nothing about queer history or culture, you should read some books and also maybe start caring more about actual systems of hetro-patriarchy and how it makes everyones lives suck rather then like idk telling lies about bisexuals you made up out of boredom and spite
