               ❛   —  well,  since  you  think  it’s  so  FUNNY,   ❜   she  retorted,  flicking  a  few  straggling  droplets  of  water  at  him,  though  there  was  no  real  malice  in  the  action.  in  fact,  she  looked  a  good  deal  more  cheerful  now  she  was  dry,  or  at  least  cheerful  enough  to  raise  a  challenging  eyebrow  at  him  with  a  hint  of  a  smirk.   ❛   —  oh,  yeah  ?  you  like  it  when  i’m  wet  ?   ❜

                      —  “i think kidnapping would require some sort of bondage or tying up situation, and well, it’s not that type of party and i’m not type of girl.” she said with a small grin, trying to bring some humour into the conversation. she glanced at mary, hoping for a smile, or even just a mild grin. “it won’t be so bad. it’ll be refreshing, holidays in a new scenery.”

               ❛   —  hey,  don’t  knock  it  till  you  try  it.   ❜   mary  winked,  dimpling  mischievously.  but  her  playful  smile  quickly  faded,  a  mutinous  set  to  her  jaw.   ❛   —  but  SERIOUSLY.  i  don’t  care  what  dumbledore  suggests,  i’m  going  home  to  my  same  old  scenery.   ❜   not  to  mention  the  mental  gymnastics  she’d  have  to  perform  to  devise  a  lie  that  would  explain  why  she  wouldn’t  be  coming  home  to  her  muggle  parents,  who  were  completely  unaware  of  the  war  being  waged  in  their  daughter’s  world.  and  mary  intended  to  keep  it  that  way.

                       —going home for the holidays had always been one of delphia’s favourite things, though this year, she was slightly grateful for the lack of break; she wasn’t sure she could handle going home to her mess of a family. plus, the holidays wouldn’t be the same without jamie there. “ it’s not ideal, but i’m sure we can make the best of it, right? “ she said hopefully, though she knew her opinion would be met with disagreement, so she kept her eyes to her paper that she had barely started, pretending to think about her next sentence.

who are you most jealous of and why?

               ❛   —  um,  i  used  to  be  pretty  jealous  of  LILY  before  i  got  to  know  her.  i  just  thought  she  was  really  confident  and  smart,  and  she  was  all  the  teachers’  favourite,  and  the  boys  all  thought  she  was  pretty.  

               it  just  seemed  like  she  always  knew  what  to  do,  you  know  ?  and  nothing  mean  anyone  said  MATTERED  to  her.  or  remus.  he’s  always  so  sure  of  himself,  and  everyone  listens  to  him  when  he  talks.

and  i  guess  sometimes  i  wonder  what  life  would  be  like  if  i  grew  up  with  magic.  i   know  i  should  be  proud  of  my  heritage,  or  whatever,  but  …  i  just  think  being  a  pureblood  would  make  everything  so  much  …  EASIER.   ❜
