That it can be, though it helps that I'm a ways off from even considering publishing another book of poetry so have the time for inspiration to be its fickle and reluctant self.

Glitter is evil and anyone whose says otherwise has clearly never tried to get it out of places where glitter shouldn't be in the first place. Carpets, hair, other more private places... herpes of craft supplies.

Creative inspiration can be a recalcitrant partner at time. As long as it comes through in the end, that's the key thing.

I think in Moriah's case it's the latter. The older she gets, the more she wants to explore and experience, which can lead to some wonderful moments for all of us. It can also lead to some very intensive cleaning. I almost miss the crayon on the wall stag; glitter and glue and bits of craft paper are much harder to clean up when artistic expression goes beyond the craft table..

I get high, lay on my floor, watch movies, and eat cake.

I don't know if I'd go that far, but it can seem a little haphazard and poorly organized at times.

Really? Not even a little treat for yourself? I always have an extra special breakfast for my birthdays.

I've never liked it. I mean, to some extent, I did like when we'd win with VA, knowing I was a big part of why, but other than that... Makes me feel really weird and not in a good way.

On that point we differ. I love being celebrated, even if it is for growing older. Though out of all the reasons to celebrate me, aging is near the bottom of the list.

It truly does and I hate it. I mean, I wouldn't want to be a kid forever, but at this point, I do just want to no longer get older. It's not the vibe.

Time flies when you least want it to. Unfortunately, we can't stop it, but we can make the best of it... or be a little like Peter Pan; Never grow up!.

It's the Sunday after the first full moon following the Spring Equinox. So, a lot of keeping up with the moon.

As for April Fools, no, not really. When I was a kid it was punishable. My aunt didn't like it and in that no one did it and I tended to react poorly to people trying to pull pranks of me, so... that made it worse. From there, I grew up and was all serious. Even at my most mischievous I didn't partake.

He did, yeah! As for doing it again, I will certainly do so, provided he doesn't somehow grow out of it. Which I'm hoping he doesn't.

It's hard at times to figure out how they keep track of when Easter is, so I just gave up on trying to make sense of it all. Have you never pulled an April Fools? I always liked pulling the small jokes, you know. Like tell people their fly's open, or their laces are untied... and it's extra funny when you manage to have someone look down to check their laces while they're wearing shoes without any laces in them. Uhm, I'm slowly accepting that I'm getting too old for stuff like that. Yay, that makes me feel happy to hear you say that. I like drawing them. He did? Awesome! It was so much fun to help you put it together. So up for doing it again next year.

Honestly, I stopped at 18 and I was only counting til then because it meant freedom. Ever since I'm just... it never feels worth celebrating, I guess.

If it helps at all, I think you aren't alone in your feelings. We all go from counting the days until we're 'grown-up' to wondering where all the time went in what feels like a blink of an eye.

It should be, this whole growing up thing is bullshit.

I mean, I don't care, I know a handful of people are going to do it anyway. I just also don't see a reason. Don't tend to do a lot on my birthday.

I'm pretty sure that's not an option, much as I think more than a few people would benefit from being a little less grown up at times.

I also reckon that given your mood on the whole thing, you don't want to share the exact date or how old you're going to be for any sort of well wishing on the occasion.

I mean, the only really quiet part of all that is the writing, but it's all productive. Well, it all tries to be, at least.

Oh, 100% quiet kids are not a good thing. It's either mental illness or chaos and either way, there is usually something negative there in some way.

I'd take productive over quiet anyway. But given that my passion and profession are both Musical Theatre, I may be a little bias when it comes to silence.

Not to mention that as a Mother I've learned silence frequently means someone is up to something they shouldn't be.

I've nicked myself a few times, but it ain't anything major, thankfully.

And you've still got all the fingers and toes you started with. Which I'm not sure I could say in your place. At the very least I'm sure that I'd have a few extra scars by now.

The date for Easter fluctuates a stupid amount, so it was definitely early in some sense of the word. I never got into April Fool's myself, but I feel like the older you get the more annoying it becomes because really serious stuff suddenly feels like it's being joked about even when it's not. Did you actually come up with anything or did you accept that you're finally too old? I loved your little Easter Egg map, it was so damn cute. Also, thanks so much for the help getting that Easter basket together, he loved it.

Is Easter super early this year, or is it just me who feels that way? It's not even April! Speaking of that, I solemnly swear not to pull any April Fool's jokes on anyone this year. I don't know if it's cuz I'm getting older and I'm losing my touch or cuz I'm too tired to think of any good jokes. (Does anyone have something good planned? I promise not to steal your ideas.) Hopefully it's the last one and all it takes is a couple of nights of sleep. I forgot how much energy it takes to hide eggs in a new place. I had to find good hiding places and mark them all on a map so my yard doesn't start to smell really bad in a couple of days because some aren't found. Keep your fingers crossed that the neighbor's kids have fun.

Not so sure about quiet, but it has been productive.

I know I didn't; though in my case the why was usually why I wasn't allowed to go the Barbra's house for a sleep over. At least until I started school. Then it was Why the other children didn't recognize my obvious talent.

Sounds like an quiet yet productive way to spend your time.
