“What’s the worst case scenario?” Mable says emphatically. “We crashed the golf cart, so what? We’re both still alive! At the end of the day that’s all that counts…. What’s the harm?”
Tony chuckles. “Hah… aw… nothin’ that should be on your conscience, doll…” he looks forward, sunglasses off. “This ain’t gonna help my case with Dipper, that’s for sure…”
“Dipper? What?” Mable is trying to console him. “What case with Dipper?”
“Cmon, now. I can tell the way he feels about me.” Tony gives Mable a look. Saddened. Mable frowns and looks away, a little awkward.
“He’s just being difficult.”
“Well… I gather a lot of bad things happened to you all…”
“Well yeah, but…” Mable sighs. “Yeah…”
Tony gestures for her to sit down. She does.
“Imagine stuff like this but… every day. All the time… don’t get me wrong it was fun! But there were a few times where I….” Mable looks away again. “…I don’t know.”
“You thought it was the end for you, huh?”
Mable slowly nods. Tony sighs.
“That’s no walk in the park… must have been scary.”
“Yeah…” she smiles and nods. “I mean… I wouldn’t change anything about it… but… I don’t know.”
Not caught up? No worries! You still got like a week! And if you want- Here are my re-read recommendations since it’s been a WHILE:
The Indented Text/Flashbacks in these chapters
you can usually find them right at the beginning!
- Ch 28
- Ch 31 (ending scene with Camilla)
- Ch 33
Chapter 13 - “Burnout”
Here we get reminded of some backstory with Lust. This is definitely not a necessary read but it’ll make a lot of things make sense.
Chapter 30 - “Fucking Something”
Quite a few things in here are about to be explained.
Chapter 38 - “…Date”
the action here sets up the next chapter. Which sets up the next chapter.
Chapter 39 - “I’m Sorry”
Very nessecary to understand the exposition of chapter 40!!!
That’s about all you need to really get what’s going on. Hopefully the air will clear a bit and a lot of unanswered questions will be answered after reading 40.
This entry is in Ford’s personal journal after the events of the story. It doesn’t have a number, and he uses it for documenting his travels with his brother after the events of Gravity Falls.
These are so awesome! And so beautiful like woah?!
First test of the Art Cards down, ft. this season's @artfight!
Loved the thickness, but there were issues with the lam-finish and the colours. So it's back to the drawing board for the last of them.
Sometimes on cold days nothing beats a nice hot Philly cheesesteak from the deli a block away. It’s nice to get out of the apartment too and walk around the neighborhood.
Of course there’s always the issue with the Beej Tax….
But it wouldn’t be a good outing without a bit of his antics.
(Thank you @outer-andromeda for the help with the sketches.)
I originally mentioned taking a break from digital art, but I really quickly wanted to make this sketch of Lawrence, Beetlejuice's human form! His design is primarily inspired by @outer-andromeda's and maddcelestial's design for their Lawrence AU!
One of the differences that I've made to my design is to make Lawrence Polynesian (more specifically, Hawaiian), rather than Latino-Caucasian. This is a reference to the original concept for the sequel - Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian. I also wanted to create a distinction from my versions of Lydia and Emily, who are Mexican, and my version of Dewey Finn, whose design is based on Alex Brightman.
My Lawrence design is more intended to reflect the canonical events of the musical, rather than an alternate storyline. This means that I wanted Lawrence to be a bit more on the uncanny side... someone who hasn't wholly adjusted to being alive and human just yet.
I gave him a pinstriped sweater and a gray top (tank top?), but that could definitely change in the future! I just wanted to quickly sketch him out so I can settle on a design for Lawrence-
