I think the characterization of Hannibal Lecter as this heartless, comically villainous villain is such a weird misreading of him. He is malicious at times, and cruel, and definitely sadistic, but it’s never anything so focused and conniving as the fandom seems to believe. A lot of his actions are impulsive or done out of curiosity — what will Will do if I frame him? How will Clarice react if I send her perfumes and letters? I don’t even think he’s like evil, so much as totally amoral/existing on his own moral plane. Anyways, I say all this to say, I love that Hannibal’s a snooty bitch who runs on vibes and ‘What if’ and ‘idk I think the universe is gonna collapse in on itself one day so why not’

This time including: a new house in a new country, opera trips, Hannibal massaging Will's bad shoulder, some new scars that I made up for fun, and Will's hair starting to go grey a little bit (which is a sign of growing older together and living a long life btw and that's beautiful). And, of course, murder.

Jack, Alana, and everyone else are like how does Will sleep at night after doing all that meanwhile Will is spooning a cannibal.

Hannibal: Will sent someone to kill me

Morticia: Oh that's wonderful!

Gomez: Stupendous!

Morticia: What's there to feel conflicted about?

Hannibal: I wish Will would attempt to kill me himself. And he practically seduced the man! Why won't he seduce me into killing someone for him?

Morticia: Because you framed and imprisoned him, dear-

Gomez: Remember when you framed me for that double homicide?

Morticia: -As if I could ever forget how you looked during your questioning. You mustn't be upset with the man for using the tools at his disposal. If he is trying to kill you, then he is thinking of you. Who cares what methods are used as long as it comes from the heart.
