Riley nodded as she looked around. "Oh yeah, I was like, way overwhelmed when I first saw this park. So many people and animals and things to look at! But then I sat down, and I took some deep breaths, and I got out my sketchbook. It helps me slow down and process things, I guess? Painting has always been like that for me."
"Oh," Henley raised her eyebrows as the blonde started to explain herself a bit more, and then she smiled faintly. "I guess you have a point there, actually. 'Specially in a crowded park like this." It was basically sensory overload for a wolf like Henley. But she'd take it to the crushing silence that was being at home with Greta.

Smiling, Riley held the painting she was working on so that the stranger could see it better. Laughing a little, Riley tilted her head, examining the work in progress herself. "Thank you! Really - sometimes I don't think about it that way. I just... paint what my heart sees, you know?"
Stopping and interfering with someone's light wasn't out of character for Anna. It was never on purpose, of course. She had tendency to get distracted and sometimes it took a minute to get back on track. In some ways, it had gotten both better and worse since taking over for Elsa. "Your light? Oh, your light! Sorry, of course." Anna quickly stepped to the side. She paused to glance down at the work in progress. "—and wow, that is very impressive. I can't paint at all. Or sketch. Or do sculpt . Art? Not my forte. I'm always jealous of people who can do more than scribble."

Riley shook her head and shrugged. "I'm the one painting in public. It's my own fault. It can't always be helped." Still, it was nice when people didn't mind stepping back out of her light. She smiled and dipped her paint brush in some more golden paint. "Thank you. I love your hair."
It took Ariel a moment to realize she was being spoken to. She had been greedily gulping down a mouthful of salt water from the bottle she carried with her at all times, and once she realized she winced. Rectifying her error, she screwed the lid back on. "There's an entire park and I had to stop directly in front of you. Sorry about that. Hopefully it doesn't happen too often."

Riley smiled and waved off her concern. "Oh, it's not that big of a deal, I promise." She didn't want the stranger to feel badly. She was clearly tired. "I love this time of day. It's the most colorful the sky ever looks except during sunrise."
The request was made mid yawn. Aurora was in the middle of stifling the exhale, her ears still slightly plugged. "Hm?" It took a second to click before she winced. "This is the part where I apologize for not paying attention. Sorry about that. There's not much time left before sundown so I'm guessing every second is precious right now."

Riley realized all at once what had happened. Feeling badly, she set down her sketchbook and paintbrush and got up. "No- No, I'm sorry," she apologized, shaking her head and waving her off as she stepped over and knelt down to help the other girl. She started to gather the groceries in the broken bag for the moment. "Ugh - I wish I had a bag for you." Riley winced and tried to offer her a wider smile.
The stop was unplanned. Had the straps of her shopping bag not chosen to completely snap, she never would have blocked the light. In that moment, even the reflexes of a werewolf couldn't save the groceries as they fell to the grass. Swearing under her breath, Marie knelt down to begin to gather them up. "This was exactly what I needed." The frustration was evident. Diana would pitch a fit if she didn't come home with everything on the list, and that meant she had to go back to the store. Marie hadn't even wanted to go once. It was then that she tuned into the other girl. "Did you say something?"

"That's okay - it happens." Riley laughed a bit awkwardly and then smiled. "I sometimes wonder about that, anyway. Watching where you're going, I mean. There's so many interesting things to see, it can be hard to pay attention all the time."
If Henley wasn't at home bowing down to every one of Greta's demands, she was usually outside somewhere. There was something about being out in the fresh air that took her mind off of things. But hearing someone address her made her realize that she much preferred to be out in the more remote parts of town, not in the middle of the park. Awkwardly glancing around for a moment, she slowly stepped out of the blonde's way and peered down at the painting she was working on. "Sorry. Wasn't watching where I was walking, I guess."

"Oh it's okay! Really - happens all the time." Riley smiled back at the girl and then looked at her current piece of artwork. She examined it, tilting her head this way and that way. The stranger's compliment made her huff a relieved laugh. "Yeah? Thank you - sometimes they feel a little amateur, but we all start somewhere, right?"
Sally didn't often go out in broad daylight. It was hard to justify, given how difficult it was to conceal the sheer amount of scars her body was riddled with. But seeing Jack more often seemed to have her changing more and more by the day. She almost smiled at the thought before someone's voice broke her out of her daydreaming. "Hmm... Me? Oh, I'm sorry."
Bowing her head as a soft apology, she sidestepped so she was out of the girl's way before brushing a piece of long hair behind her ear. Her eyes couldn't help but to linger on the painting below her as she smiled faintly. "That's a beautiful painting you have there."

Riley was painting in the park. She'd found herself a few art supplies and was currently on the grass, sketchbook in her lap and palette out in front of her with different colors and brushes laid on it. She worked diligently on her art, until someone stepped just into her perfect ray of sunlight. "Oh- Um, excuse me?" She held a hand in front of her face to block the little bit of sun still hitting her. "Do you mind stepping to the side a bit? You're blocking my light." Riley offered them a smile.
