Fang is an unused character that would have given you quests post game.

After the Scrotus fight Max returns to Gas-Town, and the Outcrier is getting the hell out of there since all the War Boys and Vipers are going crazy, Lectricy Boy has been killed by the War Boys and the Outcrier doesn’t want to go out into the wastes alone so he sends Max off to get Fang, who won’t come until he gets his fighting gloves back.
