I got a perfume that smells like Extremely Wet Cave. I quite like it, except for the fact that it just smells like a public bathroom for the first hour

I was planning to build a forge in order to make riveted maille (historically accurate!)—but only after constructing a medieval peasant-tier contraption to semi-automate manufacturing of chainmail rings (excuse to learn carpentry and put some of my woodworking tools to use). Unfortunately, the wire arrived today and it turns out it's plastic coated. gah. I'll have to move forge construction up to the front of the task queue so I can burn off the plastic.

I wanted to start with something relatively simple I could do in my bedroom to ease myself into this, but now I've gotta jump headfirst into the deep end and learn how to design and build a forge (and make it amenable go changes for future blacksmithing projects).
