21st May 1982 -The Hacienda Club was opened in Manchester, England. (The club closed 28th June 1997). On January 27, 1984 - Madonna made an appearance on the cutting edge British music TV show "The Tube" which aired every Friday evening live on Channel 4 TV and on this night it was coming from a legendary nightclub in Manchester in the North of England called "The Hacienda". Madonna was accompanied by brother Christopher and friend Erica Bell and performed the 2 songs "Burning Up" and "Holiday". Both were lip-synched in front of a live audience at the club. ❤👑
June 1984 backstage at the French TV show "Hip-Hop" hosted by Sidney. M performed Holiday on the show. I think this was shot the same day as “Les enfants du rock” at La mer de sable near Paris Holiday performance in the sand. She wore the same outfit and hairstyle on both shows. ❤

Paradise model kit box image. This art was a header card done for a Paradise release of Tadao Inoue (Inoue Arts) garage kit, and Inoue was bonkers for blonde American singers. So, Madonna, naturally was included in this art. Art also features Mr Tako as well as King Kong and Godzilla.
On May 16 1984, Madonna performed Like A Virgin at Keith Haring’s birthday party held at the Paradise Garage in New York, 5 months before the release of the single. "As New York’s achingly hip art set gathered at legendary nightclub the Paradise Garage on 16 May 1984 to celebrate artist Keith Haring’s first Party Of Life, the girl who had once dominated the dancefloor with her exuberant moves to Larry Levan’s iconic DJ sets, took to the stage for a special guest appearance in front of the vibrant crowd of which she had once been a part. Having spent three months holed up in the city’s Power Station studios, Madonna saw the Party Of Life as the perfect platform to premiere two brand new tracks from her recently wrapped second album. Although she was excited to air her new material for the very first time, the hipster audience remained largely indifferent as she performed Like A Virgin from a bed adorned with white lace wearing the "bones" of the Like A Virgin dress before changing into a customised Haring jacket and skirt for Dress You Up. Only pop culture prophet Andy Warhol had the foresight to recognise the earth-shattering potential of these new songs. “The crowd didn’t really take to Madonna,” recalls artist Kenny Scharf. “But Andy loved her – he told everyone that she was going to be the biggest thing ever.” - Classic Pop Magazine.❤
Starting April 22 1989, and continuing for the weeks of April 29, May 6, May 13, May 20 and May 27, Madonna’s Like A Prayer album became and remained the number-one album in Canada.
