Hello!!! I just wanted some time clarification. At this point (Chapter 3 of “Black Moon”), how long has it been since Maddy and Jasper met?? Thank you so much!!! Can’t wait to see more:)

As I’m keeping in line with the book’s timeline, Jasper and Maddy first caught sight of each other on her first day of school - which was January 18th(a Tuesday). She begins to silently interact with the Cullens the next day and first sits with them upon Edward’s return from Denali on the 24th(a Monday).

The car accident was the next day and Jasper first drives her to school the day after that on the 26th, which I would say is the day they ‘unofficially’ got together. It’s the day of the Port Angeles incident - the 8th of March - that Maddy tells Charlie she’s dating Jasper and they become ‘official.’

Sorry, going off on a tangent.

Bottom line: they first officially met(talked) on January 24th and have technically been ‘together’ since January 26th. As ch 3 takes place in the middle of September of the same year, they’ve known each other and been romantically involved for almost 8 months

Because every time I hear any of these songs I think of Maddy or Jasper or the two together. Admittedly a small list, but Maddy is easier to song ID than Jasper.

If anyone has any suggestions for what I could add to the playlist, I promise to consider them after looking them up. I’d like to add more Jasper song IDs, but it’s hard for me to find any unless it’s related to his love for Maddy and I’m not exactly an avid listener of the more southern type songs I seem to be looking for so I’d appreciate the help.

Also, update: I have been working on chapter three, so no I have not abandoned the story. Hopefully I’ll have it up relatively soon...I’ll tentatively say for now before the end of February? I want to finish and post before then, but as I’ve only recently gotten back into writing it after leaving it half finished half a year ago I don’t want to jinx myself. hey friend!! i know you’re probably super busy, but i just wanted to let you know that i’m absolutely in love with maddy and jasper! i just got done rereading the story again (for the third or fourth time i think lol) and i was just curious if you’re still planning to continue the story? i’m honestly kinda obsessed, and super excited to see what happens w/alice and maddy and jasper!!!

First, I apologize for the late response, but thank you so much for the compliments. I always like to see Maddy and Jasper receiving love♡. I am indeed planning to continue the story and am happy to tell you that the first chapter of the second book should be posted by tomorrow at the latest! Looking forward to reading your reviews! Maddy Remix Wardrobe turned 2 today!

What is the rest of the family's (Emmet, Rosalie, Carlisle and Esme) opinion about Maddie and Bella? As in, what is their opinion about them and their relashionship with Jasper and Edward?

Hmm, let’s see if I can answer this well… I’ll do this person by person then, starting with the easiest.

Emmett: Emmett’s generally amused at and by the Swan twins by virtue of them breaking the monotony of their usual existence alone, at least at first. He absolutely loves Maddy when she starts interacting with the family more because she’s a riot (in his opinion) and makes his brother less of a brooder (Jasper). When he officially meets Bella, he finds it funny that she seems as much of a fuddy-duddy as the vampire who chose her (Edturd), but doesn’t think anything bad of her. It’s only when Bella shows a lack of unconditional love and support towards her sister that Emmett kind of starts to think of her as someone to kind of avoid getting to know better. He still accepts her as an in-law of sorts because of her relationship with Edward, but not as a sister- a true Cullen, so to speak- like he does Maddy.

Rosalie: Ha, what can I say about his… Rosalie is a bit complicated. She generally dislikes humans not only because they seem shallow and dim, but also because she greatly misses the opportunities being one provides(birthing a child). When the Swan twins came into the picture, Rosalie was angry that their peaceful existence was being threatened by humans that could easily be taken care of. It didn’t help that Bella acted like every other human girl infatuated with Edward, even if he couldn’t read her thoughts, that much was obvious. Maddy seemed something like a balm to Rosalie’s irritation with her thinking along the lines of ‘at least this one is interesting/intelligent’. Maddy restored her faith in mortal teenage girls, more or less, and Rosalie reluctantly found herself really liking her as a person (personality, quirks, etc). She really started to see Maddy as a friend (and not just an amusing nuisance) when Maddy confided in her he Paul problem and then as a close friend when she found out about Maddy’s inability to have children at the field. In comparison, Bella seems like a useless lump just like all the other girls, she’s also a terrible sister which upsets Rose something fierce since family is extremely important for her. Maddy also overall seems to be in a healthier, happier relationship with Jasper than Bella is with Edward.

Carlisle: Really, the man is just happy his favorite and his newest son have found a partner that makes them happy(or feel intensely in Edward’s case). With how long Edward’s been alone and his failure to hook him up with Rosalie, he worried his broody star childe would be alone forever and he understands that Jasper is a good man who suffered through a monstrous war and deserves some peace and happiness but thought it was unlikely to happen because of the horrible physical and mental scarring said war left. He adores Maddy and kind of started seeing her as one them early on when he found out she had visions of the future (something that separated her from other humans and likened her more towards gifted vampires). Her lack of fear, openness, and sincerity when interacting with his family and her genuine, unconditional love for Jasper only endeared him to her more. Bella herself just came across to him as the more introverted, shyer twin, but he likes her fine. He does disapprove of how she treats Maddy, but sees it as the mistakes of brash, inconsiderate youth like most teens and that she still has time to mature and grow out of it.

Esme: Esme’s an absolute darling that’s just happy her babies are happy. Edward’s not her favorite like he is for Carlisle, but like any mother she worried at how lonely and broody he seemed so she’s just happy Bella exists though she is upset that Bella thinks so poorly of her own twin. Jasper is another story entirely, if anyone’s her favorite, it’s Jasper by virtue of seeming to need the most mothering when he finally found them and their way of life. She can’t help herself, she just knew he seemed so broken and struggling with himself that she probably mother-henned him like crazy when he first joined. Esme’s absolutely ecstatic that he found someone as gifted and unique and perfect for him as Maddy and loves how the girl seemed to bring the family closer together and acting more like a real family the more time she spent with them.

Anyway, sorry if it’s a bit of a long response, but I hope it answers your question. If it seems they think more of Maddy than they do Bella, it’s only because they’ve spent more time with the former and half of what little they saw of the latter didn’t give them a very good impression of her character.

What was going through jaspers mind when he bella got jelous over emmets little sister comment to maddie in the baseball field? And what did edward do exactly to earn jaspers ire?

Jasper's only thoughts were protecting Maddy from Bella's jealousy. To begin with, Jasper didn't have much of an opinion one way or another, but from hearing all the different ways Bella has hurt his Maddy without intention(by being shallow, selfish, and callous), he doesn't like her very much, especially when the things Maddy infers of Bella's less than savory qualities are proven with his empathic gift.As for Edward...Jasper is a very practical man. Had Maddy not been gifted or conscientious as she is towards them and their secrets, he'd likely consider her a threat like he did Bella in the book, attraction to her or no. As it is, not only is Bella still a threat to his family, but he's also very aware of her flaws because of the way she hurts Maddy. His problem with Edward is that he doesn't see Bella's flaws, chooses to ignore the danger she poses to the family and justifies himself with his romantic intentions and perceived moral high ground. Bottom line, Jasper dislikes how caught up in his tragic romance Edward is, to the point he becomes blind to Bella's faults and lacks care in the danger he puts others in because of both their flaws. Not to say Jasper's ignorant of Maddy's own faults, rather, he simply finds them quite endearing.
