overhearing toji and your kid bickering.

"hey you." the little girl giggles at her father's gruff voice. you could swear toji's eyes soften at the sound.

"yes daddy?" she climbs onto his lap and his hands swiftly help guide her so she sits comfortably.

"yer growin too fast" toji huffs but the small bitterness in his voice was clear as day. "i can't help it!!" the little princess exclaims while playing with her father's hands and intertwining their fingers.

"better find a way not to. otherwise you're grounded" toji's eyes were on his daughter's busy ones that were watching her small tiny fingers tracing lines along the big of his calloused hands.

"ya hearin' me, kid?" she only hums in response at which toji can't help but scoff at. you don't miss the slight upturn of his lips though.

your soft chuckle shifts toji's attention to you "hey mama's home". your daughter jumps down from her father's lap and into your arms "mama i missed you!!".

the overwhelming affection didn't end there, toji strides over, bringing the both of you into his arms, carrying you with ease.

as his favourite girls were cradled in his arms, toji thinks it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that he has the entire world in them.

It’s actually disgusting me that people are choosing to forget about Palestine not even a full year into this ongoing genocide. Nothing is better. Nothing has slowed down. It’s just underreported. It’s just that western media outlets aren’t pretending to care. The iof is still targeting aid distribution centers, it’s still killing hundreds of Palestinians a day, it’s still preventing medical aid from entering North Gaza. So many diseases are robbing families of their loved ones. It is worse than it has ever been. Less people are talking about it now because they no longer want to be bothered to care

i'm sorry for being so inactive these past months. in early june i got diagnosed w a depressive episode which i'd been struggling with for weeks before. i've been taking antidepressants since and have begun my second year at uni.

i hope that i can be back soon, and be at least a little bit more active than i have been because i've missed you all (especially my mooties) so so very much !! thank you for your patience and love.

it really hurts me to see so many gazans asking us for help, though that's through no fault of their own. they've been forced to use a social media site that they're probably not familiar with (because tumblr has kind of faded out of popular consciousness), to interact with us in a second language, to distinguish themselves from the scammers who are taking advantage of genocide, and to ask strangers for help. i don't think there are any cultures where it's easy to ask for help like this, but i'm intimately familiar with how humiliating it can be in arab culture. please be kind, gracious and helpful to the gazans in your inbox. this is a desperate time for them, and in addition to the physical danger inflicted by "israel", the prices of basic resources in gaza are extremely high due to scarcity, and those that manage to escape to egypt are financially exploited by landlords there and have an extremely difficult time finding work due to their unofficial status as refugees. these families will continue to need our help and i hope we can all continue to provide it to the best of our ability.
