Alone With My Body

When working on loving myself I realize that I don't hate my fat body in and of itself. If it were just me and my body, we'd be very happy together. But I need somewhere to displace my rage, my dehumanization, my constant awareness of having the "wrong" kind of body, and so I direct it at this vessel. And I need to put it somewhere else, because fuck homogenous beauty, and fuck beauty in general. You can be ugly or gorgeous or look the way some heteronormative cis dude told you to look or not look that way at all and you are still worthy. Give me your sexy brain, your enticing character, your huge heart, your heart pounding empathy. Your body, to me at least, is the least important thing about you.
