I’m obsessed with killpop of course but im also deeply obsessed with Iowa ever since i first heard it. The whole album yes but the song specifically.

love in the sense that you kill them. You kill them so they are yours, forever. So obsessed with their body in your possession now, you analyze and embrace every single inch of them. You keep coming back to this body that you love and keep and of course it decays and rots and becomes rancid and then what. How long can this love last

From an actual musical standpoint this song works so well especially as a 15 minute song. The bassline is great and they manage to carry you all the way through until the big hit (“you are mine, you will always be mine…”) and it feels so worth it after the buildup.

This is a song i love to just fucking dissect and think about . Corey was cutting himself with glass in the studio i just wanna know how this song was conceived because all Iowa is is rage and then the title track that is also the outro is This !!
