Josiane Maevjen Reneé was born on October 5th, 1999, in Berlin, Germany. Her life began as the intersection of two vastly different worlds — her father, a renowned German painter known for his bold strokes and moody palettes, and her mother, a warm-hearted Balinese woman who worked as a tour guide among the vibrant landscapes of Indonesia.

But harmony never lasted long.

When Josiane was just two years old, her parents divorced. The decision split her world in half. She stayed with her father in Berlin, surrounded by canvases, oil paints, and the quiet sound of a man too absorbed in his own genius to notice a child silently watching from the corners. Until she was five, Josiane grew up under his roof — not out of love, but out of arrangement.

Then everything changed. Her father remarried. And Josiane, with no voice in the matter, was sent to Bali to live with her mother — a woman who, though full of spirit and energy, always seemed more present for strangers on tour than for her own daughter.

Josiane was an only child — and she felt it. Raised between emotional gaps and cultural contrasts, she grew into a girl who trusted no one but herself. Detached. Fiercely independent. Bold without apology. She learned early not to wait for love or approval.

Yet, blood remembers.

Despite the distance, despite the pain, Josiane couldn’t erase her passion for painting. It lived in her fingertips — in the way she touched colors, in the way she stared at shadows on walls. Art was her inheritance. Not from a man she admired, but from a man she resented. She hated her father, but she loved what he left behind in her.
